Has anyone heard anything new about whether or not the Christmas version of the Country Bear Jamboree will be happening this holiday? Im thinking the only way I will see it is if the Christmas version is in effect!! :0)

On a different note--- what do people here prefer? The Tiki Room or the Country Bears?

I prefer the Tiki Room- I grew up listening to the song on my cassettes, and grew up with Aladdin and the Lion King, so I don't even mind that part of it. But I only saw Country Bears for the first time this last trip.. it was nice, but I don't think I would be willing to wait for it.

Country Bears!! :) I hope they are back for a special Christmas performance - I haven't seen the CB's in years and was hoping to see them this time around!

I think the better question is will the CBJ Christmas special EVER return, or has it forever slipped into the dark recesses of Christmas past.

Gone for good last time I heard. On a positive note, that rehab is apparently fantastic, and everything looks and sounds great.

As I have said before, there will be no Country Bears Christmas Special this year.

It's not gonna happen. As Master Yoda said, management doesn't like the Holiday overlays. CB Christmas won't see the light of day until they change their ways or new management is installed. I'm just happy to hear the bears sound good, because the audio was awful in there.

How often do they get new management? Any time soon? (now I have my fingers crossed hoping for new management )

No, not very often. And if people keep coming to the parks in the numbers they did last year, which is doubtful because of the economy, they wont be replaced anytime soon.

I do not think there is any set timetable but I have heard that current MK management might be on the way out. I have no clue if it is true but it is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope that light is not a train.

Wow, good to hear that. I know lower management, at least in my area, has been shaken up a bit, but I hadn't heard anything about upper. Very interesting.

Like I said I do not know how credible that is...it just might be wishful thinking but we can only hope.

Whether or not the Xmas special plays has nothing to do with local managers. This type of decision comes from the executive level (VP of park and up) and they look at all kinds of figures - capacity before and after changeover, cost of changeover, downtime before and after, and of course the number of complaints when it wasn't shown the first time.

The Xmas show did not bring in that many more people.
The downtime to setup and take down is too long and costly for little benefit.
Not enough complaints were received after it was discontinued.

I get my information from me. I was there last night. If anyone says it looks great, they're lying. Everything is a mess, there are almost no speakers, and none of the figures are working.

No one said it did. WDW Management includes the VP o f the parks.

That's odd because my friend who works Engineering Services in that area said the audio has been fully remastered. They must have done some work since he was in there last.
