Anyone not gotten Celebrations Magazine yet?

Received mine yesterday in CA! Very thick and nice. Cover is heavy cardstock, i.e. expensive printing. My only gripe is that they sent it w/o bag and stuck a huge mailing label across the cover that won't come off gently. Oh, and thanks to the mailman for bending it in half and leaving it that way sticking out of the mailbox. Nice crease pal! I'd like to get a copy as a collectible, ya' know? I'm going to go check the local magazine shops to see if I can get a perfect copy. All in all, very satisfied.

I finally got mine! (Ottawa, Ontario)

Now, does anyone have any tips on how to get the stamps and mailing label off? I thought of steaming them off using a kettle. The cover seems pretty thick and I don't think it would suffer any ill effects. Has anyone tried this yet.

And, to Tim, Lou and the rest of the gang that put the magazine together...FANTASMIC! I'm only at the wine and food show (pg 14) but you guys did a fantastic job of putting this together. So worth the wait and I can't wait to see what's in the second issue!

Got mine in Michigan last week....and absolutely lLOVE it...as did the family. Yes the front label was a bummer but they really do need a baggies as my cover was ripped wrinkled and looked like it had been read by a few dozen postal employees.....:lookaroun I like a nice crisp mag to keep...hope they address shipping problems pronto....GREAT MAGAZINE!!!!:king: Wonder if I whine if I will get another copy.......:animwink:

FINALLY got it!! Tim personally sent it to me. My mailman must have the copy that was first sent to me. He's a very shady mailman.

Celebrations Magazine is currently not available in brick-and-mortar establishments.

I did a quick scan and didn't see anything mentioned in this particular thread, but I have been told by Tim and Lou that they'll be using a different mail house this time AND magazines are to be bagged this time with all labeling to be on the plastic bag.

I am counted amongst the many contributors of this magazine that were a bit upset to see the labels on the front cover that Tim Foster put a lot of time in laying out trying to showcase the beautiful Castle shot provided by Tim Devine. I know as soon as Tim Foster got his copy mailed to him (he even gets a copy mailed to himself so he can see how it ends up in all the readers mailboxes), he got the ball rolling on how to prevent it from happening again.

After my attempt to steam off the label, I would highly suggest NOT doing this. The steam had no effect on the label but it did have a bubbling effect on the front cover. Thankfully I noticed it quickly so the damage is barely noticable.

My wife said "It's only a magazine"... She just doesn't understand...

I tried to remove it also and tore the cover very disappointing

Since my DW got the subscription for me after the first issue was mailed, she paid extra to get the first issue. I'm so happy it came in an envelope, no creases, no folds, and especially no label.

Couple questions...

1) I am not a subscriber for this mag...can I pick it up at a Borders or Barnes and Noble? And if so, which section is it likely to be in?

2) Is it possible to pick this up, too, somewhere around Disney property? I'll be at WDW in about two weeks.

Happy to report I just got my second issue TODAY!!! and it came perfectly mint in bag with address printed on seperate sheet of paper inside bag....way to go Celebrations Magazine staff.....:king:
