Anyone else think Test Track is a totally weak ride?

If I'm reading you right, you're saying that the ride is more educational/informative than thrilling...which I agree with.

I think the reason a lot of people dislike Test Track is because it was hyped as a great thrill ride, which it's just not. It's not a bad attraction, but Disney just set the expectations for it in the wrong place.
I don't really know if there was a point where the ride was designated as being educational or thrilling or a combination of the two, with an empasis on the latter, but I would agree with your point that things do get hyped up. I wouldn't necessarily say Test Track qualifies as a "thrill ride" as I know the term, either, though my two daughters, ages 7 & 9 would disagree with me, they thought the ride was thrilling.

I love me some Test Track.:sohappy:
It's far superior to...oh...say for instance that pile of junk currently calling itself Space Mountain.:fork:

Oh, and everyone that disses Everest gets one of these free of charge:

I could see why a lot of people think its 'weak' but to be honest I ride that ride for the moment where they say 'ok barrier test...go!' and then you just fly out of the building...now thats fun!

Test Track is fun for all ages. My kids & my parents get to do something together. Maybe not a trill ride but a fun ride. Lines are always long so I'd say most people like it.

Test track was not as extreme as I hoped it would be but it was okay. After the first time we rode it we decided we would ride it again if there was no line and not much else to ride at the time. :D

TT pushed the family E Ticket to a new level - and manages to reproduce its thrills almost consistently thousands of times each day - unlike the drive to work. Yes, it could be better, but it is still state of the art. Same for good old Dinosaur. Maintainence budgets could make both attractions far superior with not a lot of effort however.

I appreciate the technology behind it, but yeah, it holds no interest for me. Unless I can walk on with no wait, I don't ride it.

I found both rides to be great.

My wife, who is a coaster person, insisted we go on Dinosaur three times in a row the last time we were in AK. That, to me, is a vote for the ride.

If all you are looking for is adreneline thrills and no real atttention to detail or theming (i.e. comparison to Busch Gardens) you may never get what you expect out of a great Disney experience :brick:

Really? Don't you miss a lot of the great attractions and shows on the way through?

Or do you have a hidden secret system.....:lookaroun

All the rides in Disney are horrible, blah blah blah. Talk about something new.

No, I want to talk about this. Perhaps, you just ignore the thread. I've started plenty of threads on here that aren't negative. Maybe we can discuss this one started by you:

<<<Five Strikes Against Magic Kingdom On Thanksgiving Night

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strike One: The line for Fastpass on Space Mountain was longer than the regular line. We ended up waiting about half an hour in the Fastpass line because they were letting in more people in the regular line than the Fastpass line

Strike Two: This one doesn't really affect me, but anyways. On Jungle Cruise, a little girl was getting off the boat and the driver started driving away. The father had to yank the girl off the boat, and she almost fell in. How safe!

Strike Three: Walking onto Thunder Mountain, yet again the Fastpass Line was longer than the stand-by line.

Strike Four: In line for Thunder Mountain, I noticed I was walking in sand. I recognized this sand from when I worked at Six Flags, and realized I was walking in an attempt to clean up vomit. My shoes still smell like puke and sanitizer.

Strike Five: I went to get on TTA, and they were evacuating. I went on Space Mountain, and when I got out, the TTA was up and running. YAY! We reach the top of the escalator type thing, and realize that the line is backed up and for some reason people were not getting into the cars. All of a sudden, there was yelling and panicking. The people on the escalator kept coming up and couldn't stop, and everybody was getting squished. A little girl fell over and a man was being pushed into by about ten people. The line went into chaos, and people were yelling "STOP IT!". Both the ride and the escalator stopped, and I don't know if the ride ever reopened.

On the plus side, my turkey dinner was good.
