Anyone else think Test Track is a totally weak ride?

When you are in the pre-show they make it sound like your going to be doing some crazy accelerating and swerving and such. But the ride is just lame. My commute to work everyday is much more eventful - super steep ice covered hills, merging across 5 lanes within 15 feet, dodging the cars that weren't succesful and are crasing around me, deciding whether its worth hitting certain pedestrians or not as they stupicly step in front of my car. Then I get on TT and its like the TTA.

Yes, I think it and Dinosaur are completely overrated and are terrible rides.
TT is worse than Dinosaur, though. Much worse. The only time I will go on TT is if there is no line, so first thing in the morning.

It is my 6 year old sons favorite ride but, I think that's because it makes him feel like we are at home because that's how I drive when I drive the kids to school!:ROFLOL:

I can see where you're coming from.

I think it was a great concept with a poor execution. However, the majority of guests probably disagree, seeing as the attraction has consistently had one of the longest wait times on all of WDW property since it opened.

It all depends on your perspective. Me, personally I like the "experience." My only time I had a chance to ride Test Track was in October 2007, my first trip to WDW since September 1993. During my visit I rode it 7 times, all through the single rider line, since I did Disney solo.

It lives up to the hype of zipping you around when you hit the outside. But that's just me -- I'm a thrill junkie. I love rollercoasters and I'm happy with what Disney did to transform the old World of Motion. As much as I would have loved to see World of Motion still alive and kicking, Test Track is a nice replacement.

Is it 5:00 yet?
I LOVE Test Track. It is one of my favorite rides. I do not like most rollar coaster type rides so this one is plenty of thrill for me...

For me, there's always something new to see and find on Test Track, since it is so diverse and has a lot of hidden details which are fun if you're looking for them (like Hidden Mickeys).

To me, MISSION SPACE is totally weak. It really doesn't lend to too much imagination and the experience is exactly the same each time.

At least on Test Track, it's always fun going on the track and feeling what it's like when it is raining, reeeeealy cold or reeeeealy hot out.

Other Really Weak E-tickets:
- Dinosaur (I call it Dino-snore)
- Everest... what people see in this I do not know.

Are you dillusional...seriously?

I really don't find TT all that interesting myself. I always thought that the drive home from school was much more exciting. I suppose I do see the enjoyment of it though if you don't like rollercoasters. But maybe somebody can explain this to me, aside from the banked curve at the end what is really all that different from driving your own vehicle? At least when I'm driving my own car I can make it do whatever I want, and I think that is much more fun.

I guess it depends on what your expectations are before riding.
I rode it for the first time last summer.
I was expecting a loose representation of an actual "test track" that is used in automobile manufacturing with a bit of "Disney flair" added. My background is in automotive manufacturing and I have experienced these test tracks first hand, one at Chrysler and another at a GM/Chrysler/Ford supplier. I felt that the ride "test track" lived up to my expectation. Everything inside the ride from the visuals and props to the various courses the ride vehicle is put through, accomplished this mission. For anyone without an automotive background the ride gives sort of an inside look at how auto manufacturers challenge their new designs. I will add that on an actual track the vehicle spends a lot more time on each course than you do on the ride. Imagine sitting in a vehicle driving over the "german blocks" for 20 minutes or longer, shakes you up pretty good! An actual test track is rather bland visually, so by adding the highway scenes with an oncoming truck with a blaring horn adds to the experience, but won't be found on an actual track. My family enjoyed the ride and will ride again.

If I'm reading you right, you're saying that the ride is more educational/informative than thrilling...which I agree with.

I think the reason a lot of people dislike Test Track is because it was hyped as a great thrill ride, which it's just not. It's not a bad attraction, but Disney just set the expectations for it in the wrong place.

Test Track is the one ride in Epcot other than Mission Space that I don't mind skipping. It's just kind of dumb if you don't like cars, and even if you do, it gets old kind of quick.

Dinosaur's okay, but I don't think it's overrated. The longest I've ever seen the line was 30 minutes. I think it's 15 mins. of fame is over, though the dinosaurs are just awesome!!!
