I can't wait for Order of the Pheonix and it comes out the week before my bday hehe. I want the British adult cover though so I might end up ordering from the UK. My mom always gets at least one (maybe two) copies so we'll have the American set but I want to order the set from the UK for the covers LOL. (Mom has two sets cause she had two chambers cause one is signed and now wants to get an "untouched" set of the rest so if she can get the others signed in the future she has the books already. I was so jealous she was going to meet JK Rowling and then she ended up not going to be able to go so someone else got her a book signed.

Anyways I can't believe I haven't posted here before cause I love the movies/books et all. My friend's name for me is Hermione cause I act like her lol. I went to the premiere here in westwood (west coast premiere) ... Dan wasn't there but the Rupert and Emma both were. I just got my premiere pictures back if anyone is interested in seeing them just PM me your email address and I'll send them out :-D.

Ooooh....signed! That's too cool! I can't wait for the new one either....I've already made plans to be at the bookstore at midnight to get it right away, and I've got the next few days off work to read it. (Of course, it's supposed to be super-long, so I don't know if I can finish it in that time.) If I didn't have the Disney trips coming up between now and then, the wait would kill me! :lol:

Me and my sister have already got a copy reserved at our local Barnes & Noble. Though we might have to fight over who reads it first as its only one copy.:lol:
I think its great it coming out in the summer. Gives me more time to read it with school out of the way, and gives me the opportunity to attend the midnight potterparty our bookstore is having.

You should seriously consider ordering from Amazon.com. Their prices are about half what Barnes &Noble is charging. I pre-odered my copy and it will only be $17.97 plus shipping. That's alot less than the $29 that B&N wants.

Just a thought.

All right, heads up. Scholastic has released some details of what we may be finding at the new book.
Now, as I said before, many many names and stuff are translated from the original to Portuguese, and the news I got WERE in Portuguese, so if I translate anything wrong I'm VERY SORRY! :p Here goes:

- Fans, rejoice! Ron is entering Gryffindor's quidditch team this year! :sohappy: :sohappy: The family tradition continues! I sure will miss Wood, though. He was a fun character.

- The personality of the new teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts was described as "poison honey" (or something to that effect! Sorry it's hard to retranslate!).

- Harry will face a government that can't be trusted and the powerless authorities at Hogwarts.

- Harry will have a dream that has to do with a door on a silent corridor (which is the cover of the American book), and this dream will be scarier than all his previous nightmares. And considering the poor kid barely has had a good dream in his life...

All this, together with whatever has leaked before, just reinstates that the long wait was probably worth it. It sounds this book will be the best one yet!
Personally, I still think Dumbledore will be the big character biting the dust on this one. I have this feeling that the book took even longer to come out because JKR must have made some adaptations, thinking about the future movie, since Harris passed away last year.

As for movie news, I read somewhere that Chris Columbus said that they're already working on "Goblet"'s script, and that they plan on filming it as one movie and, if it turns out to be too big, they'll divide it. Seriously, unless they cut major chunks of the book, there's no way it can be made into one movie.
And "Prisoner" will have only one Quidditch match, after talks that there wouldn't be any since the actors who play both captains on the major teams were not called to shoot scenes. Apparently, it'll be the rain match. It's gonna be a mess, because it has to be the one where they win the championship, and there's got to be time for Cho. Now, will it feature the real (I don't know the original name of the big monsters from Azkaban) or Harry attacking the fake one that turns out to be Draco? "Chamber" has 161 minutes. Does anyone also feel that "Prisoner" will be a messy movie and that this new director will screw with the characters?

I can't wait til the new book is released! I have had my (adult cover) book pre-ordred on amazon.co.uk for months now! Last time it arrived at like 9pm on the morning it was released! :D

I can't wait!!!! Just a few more days, woohoo. We're going to Barnes and Noble at 10:00 pm Friday evening, at midnight we get to buy the book. They're having a Harry Potter Party from 10:00-midnight and Maegan can't wait. They'll be making wands, hats, golden snitches, playing games, having contests. It should be a lot of fun. When the last book was released, the store we're going to made it into People magazine, I wonder if it will make it this year! MKCustodial, thanks for all the GREAT info! :kiss:

Well, i guess I know how I'll be spending my weekend! I pre-ordered my copy months ago from Amazon, also.... I hope it's here when I get home on Friday so I can relax with a good book! :)

This next week plus will be quite interesting....

We pick up 2 copies of the OotP at midnight Friday (wife and I cannot bear to share this one). Then the next day, we're teaching marching badn all day :( . And the fun part, we're goign to do all we can to finish the WHOLE book by Wednesday the 25th because we're leaving for WDW at 2AM on the 26th, and we don't want to leave it to be finished over a week til we get homje, and we're afraid if we bring it, we'll read about one type of magic while we shoulde be enjoying another kind of magic....

I'll let you all know how we do!!!!

Now that's almost a military operation! :lol:

We still have a looooong wait, though. The book is only coming out now in English-speaking countries. I think we only get it down here by October, but I'm not expecting it untill Christmas, they just KNOW they'll be able toearn more $$$. :rolleyes:
