Any examples of 'bad show' from years gone by?

They've done these things for years though some think it's a new phenomenon, that's my point.
But the Ford relationship was worked on by Walt Disney himself. I believe he saw the value of having another company put some of the money up to pay for some attractions. In fact the Sante Fe railroad helped pay for some of the Disneyland RR. They had their name on it in 1955. Monsanto was another opening day sponsor who had their name on everything they touched.

The point of this thread is to point out that some of the things people complain about now, happened back in the day too. I'm not arguing with you as I know these things you're saying happened.

Ok, fair enough. I was just confused by your "Walt would be turning over in his grave" comment. I don't think he would have been if he saw a McDonalds advertisement in Disneyland.

When did you go? I go for 2 weeks during the F&WF and I use the restroom ALOT. Like every 45min to an hour(yes I have a medical thing). I have always found them to be very clean. Of course you get some paper towels on the floor, from pigs that can't hit the trash can, that staff has not instantly picked up. But they were very clean, especially the amount of people that use them.

I should have been more specific I guess. April 2016 - MK - multiple consecutive late afternoon to close. Specifically, the men's rooms near Splash Mountain, City Hall and the absolute worst each day was the one near Rapunzel's tower. In all our visits, I've never seen anything like that before in multiple locations over multiple days. To your comment about F&FW, I've not seen a men's room in Epcot in anywhere near some of the conditions I've seen at MK. So, it's possible the custodial crews are just overwhelmed by the volume of people.

That is a shame. They need to keep up on that. I use the woman's restrooms, and although there have been times that there has been a bit of paper on the ground, for the most part the restrooms have been very clean. Maybe people need to stop being such pigs.

Complaining how Disney is not the place it used to be is the thing to do these days. I've been going every 18-24 months for the past 2 years and I have never seen or experienced a quarter of what everyone complains about. For the exponential increase in visitors I think Disney is doing a pretty good job of managing the sheer number of people running through their parks on a daily basis.

Drunks at EP, never noticed a one

Dirty bathrooms, don't linger in the bathrooms to notice. I'm in and out getting back to my vacation. And if I did notice, thankfully a few paper towels on floor doesn't hold any power over me or my vacation.

Food quality, the prices are in line with other theme parks, but the quality is much better. Eat a few meals at Six Flags and get back to me

Rude CMs, never a once

Ride breakdowns, once in all my visits

Trash on the ground, too busy enjoying myself and my family to notice. You might want to consider spending your vacation dollars elsewhere if you are taking the time to notice trash.

Too many add on experiences, if people keep paying, they'll keep adding. They are in business to make money after all.

I will also point out about Finding Nemo seeing both Puppeteer & Performer work great for that show having a vibe of Avenue Q since the songs were written by the same artist (Yeah and Frozen)...Buuuut, Does anyone just get a "unsettling" vibe of the version that they use for Disney On Ice...

Putting the giant, bulbous, cartoon eyes at chest-level was a HUGE mistake...

All theme park food is overpriced, but some of the food you get at non-Disney Parks (Busch Gardens, Paramount, and Carrowinds in my experience) is disgusting. Even the generic quick service spots at Disney are always pretty decent.

So we're five pages in and we haven't really gotten any examples of "bad show" from the past. I guess we have an answer now.

You're obviously just ignoring the examples given? I've been going since the 70's and there's always been things that have gone wrong or were bad show even then. It just seems nowadays some people just want to make out that back in the day everything was perfect and that bad show only happens now. When Disneyland opened for instance it was abssolute chaos, running out of drinks, rides not working, the concrete melting, a boat nearly capsizing and rides injuring people and having to be closed.

There was also a circus in Epcot back in the day with a poor elephant dragged out to perform for the crowds.
