Another Trip Report [ 1/6/08 - 1/11/08 ] I Wanna Go Back NOW!

1/6/08 - Day One, the Resort:

• Upon arriving to MCO, we checked in with the Magical Express. This is the first time staying at a resort and also the first time taking the Magical Express. At first the long line seem a bit overwhelming but it actually moved pretty fast. It took less than 10 minutes from what looked like a 30 minute wait. Cool! So onto the "red carpet" to hop onto our bus. Wait time? 2 minutes.
• A short trip...well, I dozed off a bit since I was already at the airport from NYC at 6 AM in the morning and was a bit tired. I think total trip from airport to Polynesian was 30 minutes. We were the first stop.
• Checking in was quick. We got our lei's. Our plans were explained to us more in detail since this was the first time at a Disney resort plus we had the Magic Your Way Tickets and the Disney Dining Plan. Plus it was also my girlfriend's first time at WDW. (Hun, if you're reading this...I'm gonna brag that it's my 17th visit to WDW :wave
• The resort was NICE! The CMs were extremely friendly and helpful.
• We loved the themed rooms. We stayed at the Tokelau longhouse. I have read reviews about rooms being too dirty and too dark. My girlfriend is a clean freak (sorry babe for calling you out) but she found it was clean to her liking.

1/11/08 - Day Six, Checking Out

1/11/08 - Day Six, Checking Out

• Oh no, it's finally here. The last day of our trip. We didn't have to check-out that early but we did leave our rooms at 11 AM to get out luggage to the resort airport check-in. Got our luggage checked in and received our boarding passes. Great, there goes our bags. Now our flight is at 9:00 PM. What to do...what to do? Eat of course! We had 2 more lunch credits plus 3 snacks to use so we headed over to Captain Cook's for a quick one.
  
  I had the burger and my girlfriend had the flat bread pizza. Since we're using a CS credit, we also get a dessert. Can you guess what that was?

• After an early lunch we decided to kill some time and visit Magic Kingdom one last time. It has been a dream being here so what better way to finish the trip than to visit the Magic Kingdom.

• The rest of the day we just lounged around. Took multiple rides on the TTA. Eat the rest of our snacks, ie. funnel cakes, slushies and water.
• My girlfriend absolutely loved being at WDW. Her first experience was a memorable one. She says she can't wait to go back again. I'm planning on a Disney cruise this year since she's never been on a cruise.
• Disney knows how to take care of their guests. I guess this is why people come back year after year. Heck, this was my 16th? 17th visit? I used to go more often when I was living in Fort Lauderdale (3 1/2 hour drive).Now being up north in NY, it's like every other year and everytime I visit, the magic never gets old.
  
  I'll leave this report with one photo that's on my computer wallpaper right now to remind me just how the magic stays within me even when I'm not there.

1/9/08 - Day Four Continued...

So, we decided to catch the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. There seems to be some changes made since the last time I had watched the show. The little jeep no longer flips over. The show seemed a lot shorter than I had remembered.

is this true that was one of my favourite parts of the show, hopefully it just was not working at the time. Great Trip report!

Wow, I was at that same LMA show with you...Except I was in the booth being shown the show control system when that happened...Yeah they took the cars to the back because glass got broken from the headlight and they had to clean it up and make sure the cars were useable. They have spares, but it gets expensive to keep repairing the cars.
