I just got my CF13 text... Here we go again!! Bet its a minor fender bender and it'll be a media circus no matter what happens...

Not to mention they're going to bring up all the other previous history...

Edit edit: Fox 35 is now reporting the PT cruiser pulled out in front of the bus just as I suspected... I'm not worried about the bus drivers screwing up as much as I am about the idiots in their rental cars...

Great....

Well the sentinel says it wasn't the bus drivers fault...but you know the media

Bus involved in fender bender.. 20 busses have crashed is the past month, ever bus that has crashed has killed everyone...Oh yes and also a year ago at his time there was a monorail crash...Seriously when there are 200 plus busses in the road and tourists who A drive like jerks, or B just don't know where they are going, you are going to get fender benders! people are cutting busses off all the time. I'm sure fender benders have been happening for years, but now every sing one needs to get reported...:hammer:

I saw the accident scene on my way home from work. The PT Cruiser had some damage on the drivers side front and rear door of the car and there was no damage to the bus. It was at the intersection by fantasia mini golf.

Good that everyone's okay! Bad that there have been so many accidents.. not just at WDW, but everywhere. What is it about summer that makes people drive so crazy?

Probably because there's more people on the road in general in the summer, now that school is back in hopefully we'll see less of that.

Considering that the driver of the car in this incident was responsible for hitting the bus, I'm not quite sure how this would at all reflect on Disney Transport. Although the bus drivers were at fault in several of the recent accidents, there were more than a few where the bus driver did not cause the accident. Given that people in Florida generally drive like idiots, it's incredible that these incidents of car versus bus don't happen more often. (Don't even try blaming the tourists for all of the bad driving. In my two years of living and driving in Florida, I know that the locals are not much better, if not even worse, than the tourists. All of the accidents that I had down there were the fault of the other drivers, who, based on the fact that they happened in non-touristy places, were likely locals.)

I drive amongst Disney busses frequently, and I've never seen them as anything but slow and cautious drivers. The ride may seem out of control when you're standing up in the bus, but they're not.

I'm sure I could produce some statistic about how the increase of texting while driving, looking at GPS devices, iPods, cell phones, etc is causing the increased accidents, as almost all of these recent bus accidents have not been the bus driver's fault.
