So this is a push to sell tickets by year end, correct?

Clearly this is not a loyalty thing..

I think it's to boost overall sales. Until now, there hasn't been an incentive for anyone with an AP to eat inside the parks. Although, in my opinion, it will still be expensive, it will feel a bit more rewarding. I can see people eating and buying things they otherwise wouldn't have, especially as we get into the holiday shopping season. It's definitely better for them to sell something at 20% off than to not sell it at all.

Plus, when you think about it, with the price increases, they're essentially get the full price people paid just a few years ago. Really, $2 off every $10 will still make Disney plenty of money given their inflated prices.

Yes. I just hope they don't increase prices for these places now.

I wish Cosmic Rays was on the list for MK, but they probably want to drive more folks to Pecos, which likely hasn't been as busy since the menu change.

ETA: but yes, having QS options so fantastic.
Me too. I wound up eating at Cosmic Ray's tonight and I even asked just in case but she said no. Boo.

On the upside, 20% off worked all over today - including merchandise (in the form of 45th anniversary mugs) at the Starbucks bakery!

Glad to see these changes now merch discount is measurable. Got some figment merch at food and wine yesterday. Also glad its for all passes and not one or the other. I feel like perks such as this should be across the board good job disney.

The new discounts are nice, but we all agree it is something that should have been in place.

I will still let my AP expire Nov 7. The renewal price is outrageous. I can get discounted tix through my TA friend, and book bouncebacks for Resort discounts. So I will be okay. And our trips are not as often.

A few years ago there was a promo where you got a free day at a water park with regular APs. My parents had purchase theirs just before the promo. They asked at guest relations in Epcot and were given the promo. Ask nicely, and you never know.
