Annoying and unnecessary Christmas music at WDW. Your thoughts, please!

I can't believe you all took me literally.

Of course I realize there are various versions of the same Christmas song. But it's still going to be that one particular song.

If people actually listened to what Disney had to offer, they'd realize that ther are different themes and styles of Christmas music around WDW.

I haven't been there since 2004, so I'm only using what I remember. And I remember there being the same loops reused at the entrances of each park. If they changed it since then, that's cool.

I don't think anyone is whining about anything. We're just making suggestions for Disney to "plus" the Chrismas experience.

I think that this thread just proves that some people will find fault with anything and everything.

They could at least have different music at Epcot and MGM - and the tree lighting at Epcot is pretty horrible, not SSE-ending horrible, but horrible.

This is getting ridiculous. The negativity on these boards is amazing.

First, all day I read about how terrible Spaceship Earth is (even though it isn't finished yet) and how people are complaining that they opened it too soon (the same people that complained when it was extended to Feb. mind you).

Now we have people complaining about Christmas music during Christmas time?

If you want to hear the normal music, go any other time of the year. If you hate Spaceship Earth because of the last 1/4 of the ride, build a time machine and continue to travel to the year 1994 so you can re-live mankinds "greatest achievement" (that being the last 2 minutes of a theme park ride that most people slept through anyways) over and over again.

And this post is all positive?:wave:

Sorry if it came off that way. I was trying to point out an observation, not partake in the same thing! After re-reading it though I can see it now! :brick:

I am not trying to put a negative spin on things. I just enjoy my trips to WDW and I feel like everyone else does as well but when we visit so much it is easy to find fault in many of the things we do enjoy. I am guilty of it as well.

It is at these times where I just sit back and just enjoy the fact that I am there and if I really did have a problem with something, I wouldn't think about it that often or spend my money to do it. :)

You should choose your words a little more wisely my friend.
Just because someone disagrees with your opinion doesn't mean they are "Whining" or Whiners. Some would consider this name calling, which would be considered to be rude and unacceptable behavior on these boards.

You should take a moment and read my words a little more carefully.

I'm refering to the overall attitude that some people have had lately (i.e. the Christmas music, the Spaceship Earth previews...)

I did not call anybody anything.

You are the one insinuating that people are viewed "whiners." Your words, not mine.

Definitely, I couldn't believe I had to listen to the same loop I hear every day I work at MGM as I did sitting in the front of EPCOT waiting for SSE to open today. That's pretty lazy if you ask me.

I'm really confused.

There isn't one person in this thread that suggested they don't like Christmas music being played at Christmas time at Disney.

No one hates anything. We're just throwing out some suggestions.

My thoughts about the music is that it's everywhere. The malls, wdw, the radio, the tv, you name it they got it! So you could just be like me and ignore it and listen to you Ipod while you shop or while you walk around the world!

I've worked 14 out of the last 16 Christmases. I know that I would much rather be in Tomorrowland listening to Jingle Bells than to be taking calls at work. I think the change in music a few months out of the year is great! I'm hoping to be able to get to WDW in DEC10 and I'm praying that they have the Christmas carols blasting. "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas....."
