Am I the only one who really hopes they do not use Brave as the IP for this ride?!? Man, what a beautifully-animated but poorly-executed movie. Merida was extremely selfish and in no way brave. Her mom, who loved her but held her to high standards, got severly abused in a tired "person turns to animal" trope, and is the one who ends up changing. I guess they could do something cool with the whisps if this turns out to be a dark ride, but if it is a spinner or something more of a B/C ticket ride, I do not see where they would gain a lot of inspiration from this movie.

Still holding out hope for either an Alice focus or a 101 Dalmatians focus.

I would love for it to be a nod to one of the older films, especially if it is going to be a dark ride!

well..."nowhere in particular" is an obvious reference to the Smith's song "how soon is now ?". That line was itself a reference and originally from the George Eliot novel, Middlemarch. George Eliot is a pen name for a woman named Mary Anne Evans, who had a long time relationship with George Lewes, which is a homonym for Lewis> C.S. Lewis means Disney is getting the theme parks rights to "Chronicles of Narnia".

My thought walking out of the theater was "That could have been better". The story was there, but the pieces just didn't come together in the best way.

Its going to be a traditional British ride called "Queue". It will consist of a themed line area that will lead to a truly British experience of waiting in a queue. Halfway through the line the guests will be entertained by sitting silently and not looking directly at other guests as they are forced to sit awkwardly on a stationary subterranean train car for twenty minutes before being lead into a shop which has a British Queue experience.

An old woman will "tut-tut" you as you walk past if you make eye contact with anybody else.

I also can imagine a kind of thematic problem with Brave being set in the country/forest/rolling hills of Scotland and the UK pavilion mainly focusing on what looks more like the streets of London. I'm sure they would make it fit if they really wanted to, but I agree Alice or Dalmations would be a much better fit, and they're probably much more deserving of the spot.

Of all the rides that have left WDW, I would love to see Mr Toads triumphant return. The architecture of Toad Hall would blend nicely with the rest of the pavilion.

Huh.......? The whole point of the movie is that both Merida and her mother needed to learn to see eye-to-eye. I love Merida's mother, but forcing your child into an arranged marriage with the first man to win a competition is pretty far beyond "holding her to high standards." Definitely agree that Brave was an underwhelming movie compared to other movies that have come out of Pixar (it felt hyped up as a travel movie in the vein of Up or Brother Bear, and didn't deliver at all on that front), but it works well enough as an intimate movie about family (and easily better than most Pixar sequels, which we've been seeing more and more of lately).

People really will drag female characters for just about anything.

That being said...I do agree the UK isn't really the right place for a Brave ride, and that Alice, Dalmatians or Poppins would be a better fit. It might work better in Fantasyland, especially since that's where Merida's meet-and-greet is currently located.

I think they should make a ride about John Rothschilds's pigeon that crossed the English Channel telling him that the British won at Waterloo, then the attraction would showcase him selling his assets making everyone panics and then low key buying everything! That man was a genius... anyway it'd make for a cool attraction!
