I know it's off topic but the cast members at WDW are 1000X friendlier then the ones out at DLR. In the3 days we spent out at DLR earlier this year only once did any cast member greet our 4 yr old daughter as Princess. Also whenever we tried to start a convo with a CM out in Cali whether it was in line for a ride or show or going into a gift shop or restaurant and talked to them about being from Orlando having WDW in our backyard they all seemed disinterested and or put on a fake charm like "oh that's nice". At WDW no matter what CM's always interact with us and greet our daughter as Princess. Also everyone we encountered out west was EXTREMELY DLR biased, no matter what DLR is the superior park and WDWis either too big, or everything we have is second rate compared to DLR. Now granted we loved both DLR and CA and can't wait to go back, but you really can't compare the parks tick for tack there both great parks in there own right and I don't take one side or the other.

I think the potential for Robin Hood is underestimated by us. It was part of the original FL plans. I'm sure they still have the concepts stored somewhere. As for DL vs WDW, who cares if most of their attractions are better than ours. The best attraction is superior at WDW, and I think we all know what that is! ;)

They weren't built by Walt but by his machinists lol. If he saw the locomotives they have at WDW I can't imagine anyone could get him out of the cab of the Lilly Belle! Anyway, I have been on both IASWs and I like both a lot. Paris has the best one IMO. The Hm in DL has the old hitchhiking ghosts that just stare at you and the WDW one has some extra scenes. Although I do love the hatbox ghost. He's rumored to go in FL's as part of the 50 magical enhancements.
Correct but Walt had a hand in them, even if it it was more token courtesy.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again- can we just get a confirmation that it isn't Sword, Great Mouse Detective, Robin Hood, or Dalmatians?? I really think that the 4 are incredibly unlikely, but the fact that no one has said that they aren't going to be the ride feels odd.

(Sorry if the above statement ticks anyone off, I had to put my dog down yesterday and I'm having a very off day).
Sorry for your lost, remember they will always be with you in spirit and in your heart.

Your list was awesome for breaking down each one of the IP's. I heard Spirit is back and maybe he'll bring some insight to the IP in question. Jim Hill mentioned recently hat its on hold to see how well the new MP movie does, and if it does do well then it will be a theme from the movie (maybe a new character introduced in the movie) and if it doesn't then its another IP.

I'm with you on any of our insiders shining some light and hope on what this ride is and what its based on... If not, help narrow it down ;)

I remember this being brought up earlier in the thread but wouldn't the constant issues between Disney and the Travers estate about the Poppins IP make creating an entire attraction around it very hard? Considering PhotoPass can't even take pictures of guests with Mary at meet and greets.

Whatever it is, I'm assuming it will have $200M queue and a $50M ride system.

But I'm all for a cardboard classic dark ride with minimal rock work. Just simple, back to basics, something that feels like it was designed in the 50's.

Really? Are we talking about the same Disneyland? The one in California? Don't get me wrong, Disneyland park is probably my favourite theme park on the planet. But in my experience, many of the cast members there were rude and didn't care too much about the guest experience. It seemed like they were working because they had to, not because they love the job like the CMs at WDW. At WDW, they always go above and beyond for their guests. I can count the number of bad WDW CM experiences on my one hand. As for Guests, I would probably agree. The guests at DL know their way around the park :p. There was probably only one exception, and they were most likely tourists.

I think he's on a Disneyland high. It's easy to get caught up in Walt's park. Not saying things aren't better run there but it has it's faults (some a victim of it being built when it was, and not much they can do about it). I appreciate the themed queues we have at WDW over a lot of Disneyland's (though Indy is by far one of the best).

Visited both parks this year and can definitely agree i found the amount of pleasant cast members at WDW higher than DL. Isolated as it is, but WDW CM at least fake it better

Quoting my own list of Disney's British IPs
  1. Mr. Toad
  2. Mary Poppins
  3. The Sword in the Stone
  4. Robin Hood
  5. 101 Dalmatians
  6. Alice in Wonderland
  7. Peter Pan
  8. Winnie-the-Pooh
  9. the Great Mouse Detective
  10. Brave
If it isn't Poppins ( :(), I guess it would be down to Toad, Alice, or Brave. And of those three, I just see WDW choosing Alice or Brave over the literal car ride to hell.

Slight issue with Brave- literally right across the lake is another ride that includes a princess and a queen. While neither Elsa nor Anna are officially licensed Disney Princesses (and Elsa really shouldn't be included since she spends most of her film as a queen), there's still the argument of too many princesses in the World Showcase.
