But what feels quintessentially British? Sword in the Stone doesn't really...(though the story is) Bedknobs and Broomsticks seems like too remote a franchise... Brave feels very Scottish, but not British...Which IPs do the Brits find most appealing to represent their Heritage... personally? Martin?

Is Brave even popular? Wasn't it one of Pixar's worst?

Based on Rotten Tomatoes 'fresh' (i.e., not/recommended) score, Brave is equal to Monsters University and better than The Good Dinosaur and all three Cars.

Based on critics' score averaging RT and Metacritic, Brave ranks better than Monster U, Good Dino, and Cars 2 & 3.

Based on Worldwide Gross, Brave did better than: WALL*E, TS2, Cars, TS, A Bug's Life, Dino, and Cars 3.

Based on profit, Brave did better than: WALL*E, TS, Cars, Bugs, Dino, Cars 3

Based on Rate of Investment, Brave did better than: Cars 2 & 3, Dino

If that's how Disney determines what IP to use and where, Lord help us!

Actually, I'd love to see Brave represented somewhere in the parks. I know there's been debate about the quality of the movie (I think it comes down to people expecting the kind of sweeping adventure typical of Pixar, when Brave was more of a quiet family movie) but I'm not sure the UK is the right place for it...for all the awkward reasons people have mentioned.

Merida is such a fun character, it'd be really exciting to see her as an animatronic somewhere down the line.

Why this random dig a Disney? Is there some point you want to make with facts about something? Are are we supposed to know which Disney-hate-meme this is in reference to?

Um. Well because that's pretty much Disney's go to these days. The "hate" if you can call it that is that Disney would rather find an IP vs come up with something original. Anymore it seems like all one needs to do to determine what ride or attraction will be most likely added to the parks is a basic algebraic formula of looking at RT box office intake combined with merchandise sold. It's sickeningly corporate and void of creativity. My post was in jest. Jokey. But I do feel like we lose originality for IPs because Disney Corp. has little faith at it's core when it comes to trying something original. Data from box office tentpoles is a good prediction of what's to come in the parks. Per your post, It seems Brave is a likely option given it did "better" than many other movie IPs.

If Disney really used that metric, then their under-use thus far of the Incredibles is financially irresponsible.
