News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

TBH, the Walt Disney Company set that bar long ago... We are now just noticing that the shuttered attractions with no replacement, the dumbing down of theme across properties, the lack of upkeep and repair on major attractions, the lack of desire to actually complete their projects as hyped without value-engineering them, all the while raising prices... It gets to a tipping point eventually.
The place peaked in 99/2000…there’s really no way to argue that…

But the disrepair has been accelerating. The changes in management over time is huge. They use to not even think of such a sad state…so it never happened. Now it’s thrown out and tracked for acceptance on a “red line” spreadsheet.

There seems to be little if any impetus on the corporate level to build good things. That is the difference from the 20th century Disney to the 21st.
I also feel more or a short term (during their tenure) outlook, instead of a long term future plan that we used to see. It isnt what will make the park great forever.. but how can we make money today.

There has to be that one person that's been a fly in his ear at at least one of the creative meetings about new experiences at EPCOT going "Hey uh Figment". "Haha so like Figment". "Tall tree dude? I mean there's also Figment...".

Or at least one would hope.

Why spend money on a ride when popcorn buckets, t shirts and people eat a new overpriced food and drink at connections that has a static prop of the character with no cost to the company?

Seems people just keep coming... Is there really a tipping point?

Woah…they cancelled the quinjet ride in California??

How did I miss that one?

What a bunch of bait and switch bs
Put on hold.

Irony is that it was supposed to be an Avenger (Capt. America) coaster, but Ops sent it back to the drawing board for not having a high enough capacity. That sent the delayed replacement to coincide with COVID.

So, in it's place, we now have a capacity of zero.
