Anna and Elsa - Just Plain Ridiculous.

Gave up. The line barely moved for an hour. So it really was going to be at least four hours. We will fast pass it in July. Luckily I have an easy to please daughter. We are now in a ten minute character spot line.

Oh well... But at least you'll be back - and with a FP+. I hope you at least got to see the M&G room/shop; It's absolutely beautiful.

Does anyone else agree with me that the Anna and Elsa M&G is just plain ridiculous? While I was in Epcot last month, the wait was up to 4 hours. I waited a little over 3 for Oogie Boogie at Unleash the Villains, but that was a special occasion. Does anyone else think it isn't worth it to meet up with the characters from Frozen? Plus, now that they're moving to MK where Fastpass+ is available, I think it's getting even more out of hand. Maybe it's just me, but I'm using a Fastpass on a ride, not to see the princesses.

Well that makes the 2 hour waits in DL seem downright quick. When we were there we got there early so the line was only about 1 hour... of course we then find out once we get to the end that Elsa didn't bother to show up for work so they only had Anna... I can only imagine how annoyed I would be if I had waited 4 hours and then got short changed.

We were in Epcot on Sunday after Thanksgiving. We had 9:45 reservations at Akershus, so I naively assumed that we could come out and get into the M&G line before it opened. As we were checking into Akershus, I saw people lining up outside the M&G already. I thought it was strange. We were seated in the part of Akershus that has windows overlooking the Norway courtyard. I looked out at about 10:30 and told my DH that I better go get in line because it was getting long. When I got out there, I was told that we were lucky and could get in line for the 12:00 M&G . So I went to that line and there were many people in front of us already. The CM said we should be in there by 12:30. When my fam met me in line, we debated what to do. The 9 year old said skip it; the 11 year old wanted to stick it out. Now, I normally would not wait that long, but we figured this was our last trip with the 11 year old when she would want to do thus type of thing. In the meantime, the youngest had to use the bathroom and on our way back out (DH and other DD stayed in line) we stopped in the shops and discovered that you could watch Anna and Elsa from the shop next to the M&G. We went back and got my other DD and took her to that store. She was happy just seeing them and watching them for a few minutes. Then we left the line and went on our Merry way to Mission Space. Did I want to wait two hours for a M&G? No? Would I have done it to make my DDs happy? Absolutely! Am I glad that I didn't have to in the end? Definitely.

If you're asking if waiting 4 hours to meet a character is ridiculous then I say yes. But just like anything else at WDW it just depends on what you personally want to do and what you think is worth it. For instance, I don't think I'd wait 4 hours for ANYTHING including the best rides. The most I waited was 3 hours for Soarin' when it was new - we really loved the ride but it was painful.

We did 4 hour for a ride once when Radiator Springs Racers first came out... It was only supposed to be a 2 and a half hour wait but the ride kept breaking.... The only good thing that came out of it was my daughters learned a greater appreciation for their time and lines. Now they both look at ride times so we never have to stand for anything more than about an hour... as they put it no ride is worth 90 minutes of park time.

My daughter and I visited Anna and Elsa a couple of weeks ago. I was able to get an Akershus reservation for 8:05 am. We arrived to Epcot at 7:25 and were about the 7th family let into the park. We walked really fast over to Akershus to check in and were probably the 5th family in the restaraunt. We ate our meal and visited with the other princesses. My mom left our table at 8:40 to get in the line to see Anna and Elsa while my daughter finished up with Cinderella. We ended up being the 3rd in line to see them that day and were done by 9:15. When we left World Showcase the line was backed up all the way to the margarita stand in Mexico. A cast member told me that the wait time made it to 6 hours that day.

Would I wait 6, 4 or even 2 hours to see them? Heck no and neither would my daughter. However, she requested that we try to see them and she rarely ever asks to see characters so I did what I could to make it happen. Akershus breakfast is expensive, but it was worth it to see a total of 7 princesses before 9:15. My daughter has told me several times that meeting Anna and Elsa was the best part of her trip.

When we return in October hopefully they will not be as in demand as they are now. If it comes down to it I will use a fastpass to meet them if the line is more than an hour. It's worth it if it makes my daughter happy.

Pretty much the rule of thumb for me is that if I have to wait longer to see a character than it would take to watch their movie I aint' doing it! So Frozen is what 1.5 hours long? That's my limit :) But my daughter might have something to say bout that...and she is 16 year old...but really loves the movie....guess I will find out soon...

At 16 I would let her wait herself and say text us when you are done ;)

Since there is such a demand to see these characters I dont understand why they don't have Elsa & Anna at Magic Kingdom and keep them in Epcot as well. Sort of like they do with Mickey at the Character Spot and on Main St. At least until the demand dies down a bit.

For some characters, four hours would be extreme. But for Anna or Elsa, or any of the Frozen characters, I say "let it go" and would wait to meet them. Belle maybe but def Anna and Elsa.

I'm trying to understand what motivates an adult willfully spend 4 hours standing in a line to meet for a few brief moments a couple of 20 something female face characters that are imitating animated film characters. (And pretty poorly, those wigs are about the worst Disney hair pieces I've ever seen.)

And I am not speaking of the creepity that every so often those poor princesses have to endure, deriving a different type of pleasure by getting close to a princess for a moment of flirting and posing for a picture with them. That is a whole different type of guest. I am always so uncomfortable having to witness those encounters.
