Ouch! I'm so sorry about your leg. Hope it heals quickly.

I bet the wedding was just beautiful, and someday you'll have a story for the grandchildren about their moms wedding day.

Indeed!

So how was your trip?

Wonderful. We packed so much into such a short time. I'm going to start a trip report tomorrow with Rachels help. She's been downloading my pictures into photobucket. Except for the heat, I can see why people retire and move to Arizona. But I would miss the greenery I see here.

I'm so sorry about your leg. You won't have to have surgery will you?

Fishy...oh no about the leg! Hope it heals up soon!

As far as the wedding...how could it not be wonderful? So happy for you guys!

OK - the Reader's Digest version:

Yesterday while retreiving something from our upstairs closet, I apparently stretched my Achilles tendon, at which point I felt a pop and a sharp pain running down my leg. I iced it immediately, but by the time we got to the rehearsal, my foot had swelled considerably, and I was in some serious pain. I tried crutches, but even that was pretty painful, so I ended up in a wheelchair for the wedding. We went to the accident room tonight, and I'm now in a cast for a while. I admittedly had a little pity party last night about it, but I got over it.

The wedding was just awesome, and DD looked stunning. The weather wass perfect, the food was amazing, the DJ was great, and most of all, I now have a son-in-law who I really adore. So all things considered, it was really a wonderful day!

Hopefully not. The tendon is not severed, they think. If it isn't significantly better in a week then I have to see an orthopedist. We were supposed to have my mother back here this week , but my sister is going to keep her for another week, and Dave's home, so I should be able to rest it pretty much.

That reception place looks incredible. The background will make for beautiful pictures.

As for you, let Dave take care of you this week. Keep your leg propped up and stay off of it. I'll put you in my prayers tonight.

Thanks - Dave's been great. He serves me my meals, wraps my foot, and reminds me to take my pills. All this and giving away his daughter yesterday!

What a man!

Several years ago, I injured my knee playing ball and was on crutches for 8 weeks. The women I played with couldn't believe I didn't cry when I hurt it. I told them later I finally cried 2 days afterwards when my kids argued over which one would get me a glass of water.

I'm sorry you were hurt. But I'm glad the wedding went well

Thanks Joanna. I just figure better me than DD! When my niece got married she was sick as a dog and spent her wedding night in the ER with a 105 degree fever,
