Well, after some long talking about putting our house on the market, we finally are taking the plunge and looking for another place to live. The community we currently live in is going to :fork: in a hand basket.
The other thing is that we have to travel to get to work or go to the grocery store. I have about 20 minutes just to make the nearest store and 30+ just to get into the city. With us working long hours, it is making it difficult to try and drive home after a long day/night. We are hoping to find something closer to work and the city. But we don't want to move into the city. (Ok, don't think of it as a big city, but we live in rural area so its a city to us).

Let the house hunting begin! :drevil:

I miss you guys, and was thinking about you all today so I wanted to poke my head in and just wish everyone the best.

As we prepare to get our house ready for the market, we experienced a terrible rain storm (as I am sure many others did in the North East). This experience showed us that our roof (that is 7 years old) has a leak. Was hoping things would go smoother.
Of course, George had planned to go to the Largest Garage Sale this weekend and booked a hotel room for the weekend. He called to inform them that due to the flooding and leaky roof, he would not be coming down. They told him that the storm has created a lot of problems down there (flooding, roads washed out, etc.). But because he didn't cancel 24 hours prior, they are planning to charge him for the first day. :brick:They basically don't want him to come down, but are going to charge him for canceling. I just don't get it. Welcome to our world. I would like to get off now.
How are you all?

:brick:Can't take this any more. Ripped out the rug that was in the dining room so that we can lay down some hard wood flooring. Washed and scrubbed the windows, trimmed the trees, and starting the decluttering.
We did some riding around to look for a new place to live, then went shopping for some paint and supplies. Of course, when we got home our large picture window had a crack in it. Can only imagine the cost of this replacement. Still waiting for the price of the new roof.
At the rate we are going, we will have a new house and not even have to move.

So you fall into that "if it weren't for bad luck", etc., category too.

Home sick today (day 3), and this really stinks! :(

Hope you feel better soon.
Mother-in-law 2 times now? How exciting.
