fast food generally repulses me and would stick out like a sore thumb in most disney parks but i can see rubio's working in pacific wharf. it's half decent.
At least the only full-blown McDonald's restaurant on Disney World property (not counting the one near the All-Star Resorts, which, BTW, is still there!) was at Disney Springs, which is more like an entertainment complex/elaborate shopping mall than a theme park.

That McDonald's is still there! But its just like a regular McDonald's now! It used to be shaped like a giant happy meal box and had a bunch of moving stuff like a "food factory" kind of thing and specialty disney/mcdonalds plates and cups to buy and a kid's tv area with disney movies! It was really cool and special! Now its just lame and plain.

Last time, we discussed how we could incorporate pre-existing restaurant chains into Disney parks. Rubio’s was probably the most interesting pick. It was placed into Pacific Wharf, and speaking of Pacific Wharf...

Today’s challenge is to add a ride to the long-neglected Pacific Wharf! Pacific Wharf is notable as one of the few Disney park lands without even a single ride. Let’s change that. Some ideas include perhaps making the ride underwater.

I could see a boat ride that takes you around the World of Color Lagoon. Have a narrator/host with a slightly sarcastic tone. A little bit of the CA 1.0 humor teasing the park as you tour it

Sure. Like Jungle Cruise, and doubling as a bit of a tour? References to 1.0 are a good idea, maybe also deprecating current problems like the intrusive IP infestation in addition to low-hanging fruit like Superstar Limo.

Make a dark ride, taking inspiation from my Legends of America boat ride, though becoming a dark ride where guests venture into a forgotten forest, telling tales of American cryptids and monsters like Bigfoot and the thunderbird.
Call it “The Forgotten Forest” and we are set. There are plenty of monsters we can feature. Maybe feature the Jackalope from “Boundin” as the host?

this is a cool challenge, i really dig pacific wharf. i tried to go for something that was distinctly californian, as disney seems to have forgotten what the park is supposed to be about.

The year is 1945. The place is Ocean View Avenue, located on Pacific Wharf. Step inside Western Biological Labs for an exciting encounter with California's Marine Wonders. As one of the most distinguished researchers in the field of marine biology, you've been invited to tour the facility alongside several of your colleagues. A recording of our founder, the eccentric but lovable Doc, will tell you all you need to know about the adventure you're going to undertake. You'll head down into one of the facility's state of the art submarines, where you'll get an up close look at some of the golden state's beautiful sea life.

On your walk to the submarines, you'll be able to inspect sea shells, fish fossils, and the art these majestic creatures have inspired. Your last stop before boarding is Doc's office. His bookshelves are lined with classics like Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday. On his gramophone, you'll hear the newest hits, like "Don't Fence Me In" and "Sentimental Journey". Once you're done admiring the good doctor's office, it's time to head inside your submarine.

The submarines are divided into four sections, each of which faces a different side and seats ten people. Depending on where you're sitting, you'll see different scenery. After Doc delivers a safety shpiel, it's time to head deep underwater. Your seat drops as the ship submerges into the deep blue sea. Golden trouts swarm around you, rays float by, dolphins dive past, and more, with each new animal affecting the sub in different ways. As you discover more of California's marine life, Doc provides interesting information and fun facts. The experience culminates in a dangerous meeting with a giant squid, who latches on to the front of the sub and rocks it around with its powerful tentacles. Doc is eventually able to shake free of the squid, who disappears back into the darkness.

Doc lets out a sigh of relief and laughs as the sub returns to port. He thanks you and your fellow riders for joining him in exploring the sea, saying that the better we understand this beautiful, dangerous place, the better we can protect it and the wildlife it has to offer. You then return to land, exiting into the Heavenly Flower gift shop. Consider buying a souvenir. Some of the proceeds go to the Pacific Marine Life Foundation.

We hope you enjoyed your encounter with just a few of California's many marine wonders...and we hope you learned something along the way.

Last time, we discussed the Pacific Wharf are of DCA and the possibility of an attraction. From a boat tour of the World of Color Lagoon to more distinctly Californian picks, there was plenty to discuss.

Today’s challenge is to add an immersive shopping experience to any given area of a Disney or Universal Resort. Think the Bibbidi Bobbiti Boutique.

A multi-step way to design your own version of yourself as a car in Cars Land. Start with a basic car from any shop (choose eye color and type of car). Then get custom tires from a new stand in Luigi's (take up some of that overly long queue). Then finish with a paint job at Ramones.

That way, people on a budget can just get a basuc car. But people with extra money can travel around the land building and adding to it step by step!

How about build your own toy at Pixar Pier. Pixar Pier is in a rough spot right. This could totally help bring Pixar Pier up to higher standards
I could see a buipd your own candy at Bing Bongs too! Choose different flavors to combine! Adding a bunch of unique stuff like this and you build a toy idea could really add some life to the land.

I feel like we could have both of these experiences in the DCA park! Make it more thematic to each land in DCA and give the park something Disneyland only has in SW:GE. I think Pixar Pier, Cars Land, and "Marvel" Land would do something great with this idea!

What if you could live your own “I have a dream” scene from Tangled? All along the queue you pick elements of what your dream would entail, then at the end the characters could incorporate your dream into their song finale.
Seems nice. Maybe also a way to acknowledge the TV show?

I had an idea for something to mesh with my Muppet Vegan 3D Idea; a Muppet Workshop! Kind of like the Whatnot Workshop, but with more variety. Penguins are available, for one.

Welcome, traveler, to Bax-TR Mechanics, the finest spacecraft shop in the galaxy! Located in Tomorrowland, the store can be found inside a Jul-17 class star cruiser next to the local Star Tours agency. Purchased from a group of traders, the ship is now home to Bax-TR, a brilliant but absent minded droid brought to life by an expressive animatronic. From the ship's cockpit he'll beckon you inside, claiming to sell the best ships that money can buy. He boasts that everyone from the Galactic Empire to XS-Tech has given him business. What hurt could it do to see if he's telling the truth?

Inside, you'll find a seemingly endless supply of highly detailed models. Bax has everything from Corellian light freighters to Astro Orbiters to Moonliners. Perhaps you're a creative type? In that case, build your own ship from a wide range of parts. Create a heavily armed Starspeeder, a Monorail with wings, or a flying Autopian car, the possibilities are endless. Regardless of what you choose to buy, we hope you've enjoyed your time at Bax-TR Mechanics. Please keep us in mind for all of your space travel needs.
