I don't want to call myself an expert, but I have been studing music for a long time. And every week, "America" has gotten it right. I do think Tamayra got kicked off well before her time, but it is possible that america was voting for someone else that night. Justin has the personality, and a great voice. Kelly has an amazing voice. the others simply did not compare.
Now, I do think the judges have their favorites, and that may help out those up there in the voting. And I know that most of these contestants had to choose from a short list of songs, thus hindering what they like to do. but, I highly believe you can take any song, and make it your own. that is what the judges want. and the top two have done so.
And as stated before, the phone lines are monotered by a professional group out of England. I highly support that they do not post the final numbers. I am sure that the top gets way more than the bottom, and they are already getting kicked off. why kick them when they are down.
Other reality shows do not allow the public to get a say. Real World, Big Brother, Survivor, they all vote each other off. And the cameras only show what they think is entertainment. On this show, there is very little of the behind the scenes, and it is live, so there is little to no tampering with the final show we see.
We can't believe that everything we see on TV is rigged. We can take everything with a grain of salt, but if we believed everything was rigged, then we would never be entertained.

It's going to be interesting. In case anyone is interested, here is how the final show is going to be. Each person will sing one song of their own choosing, one chosen by the judges, and each will sing the same song that will be the first single from the winner of the contest.
This is a new song, and has never been performed outside of a recording studio.

I just paused my tivo to say something.
the british guy would have not made it into the top 10. well maybe, but definatly not the top five.
this is not knocking him or anything. he was setting records for his sales in england.
I am saying, maybe our finalist can do even more!

I know a girl who is majoring in vocal....performance...or something.
she does something crazy like that, she concocted a drink with stuff that will coat your throat when it hurts.
but kelly still sounded amazing.
and I did try to call last night. I tried right up till the 2hour mark, and even well after that , the line was still busy!

I thought it was cool to see them all up there again. And you get the feeling (whether it's true or not) that the other contestants were genuinely happy for her. Also, though I did get a little sick of him, Justin really is a class act.
