I believe he was trying to communicate that he, quite literally, has no information (ETA: other that what he's already stated). I think you're reading WAY too much into it.
Apparently, I assumed substance in his comments where none was intended.

I also have no idea whether Indiana Jones is closing, but can confidently predict it will not be before September 30. Although, of course, I, like @PhotoDave, might be wrong. That was fun.

Heading for the great escape.
Could be real, start off with an impressive list that has fanboys salivating then slowly prune the project to an extended retail outlet, a food cart and a DVC sales tent. But they would be themed so thats something

I dunno, I would take that with a grain of salt. (eta: in reference to the article posted above)
The article says it's just a rumor and not confirmed by any of their reliable sources. Therefore until it is confirmed it's not a done deal. But it is interesting that there are so many rumors. May be all that means is we want something so bad we will all believe it. I still have hope.

At least that article stresses it's just rumors, take with grain of salt, etc. Unlike other articles that treat it as a fact and act like they have sources when in reality they're copying the same article that started the rumors to begin with. I like Orlando Theme Park's website. Great pics and they call out problems when necessary and praise when necessary (in their photo updates), and don't seem to play favorites in the "war of the theme parks"

It's interesting that the new rumor there mentions the "Battling coaster". This idea started floating around a while back due to a patent for this type of ride which turned out to NOT be a Disney patent. I guess it's possible that Disney has licensed the patent, but it does make me suspicious.

And I hate to be negative but I can't see them actually building TWO rides, lol. I'd love it, but we know that any dark ride would likely be sliced right out of said project. Unless it's screens, that they could probably afford. I can't imagine another blaster/shooter game when you have TSMM right around the corner but stranger things have happened.

Why can't TDO do more than one thing at a time? Just because they haven't in the past doesn't mean they can't, it may be they won't but that's not the same thing. TDO has enough money and there is the demand. It's just a matter of desire. I think we can all agree on that and that is what you just said. I think they should do both at DHS and work on Future World and World Show Case in Epcot at the same time. There is no reason they can't do this and in fact lots of reasons they should. Just think of how easy it would be to sell DVC's to guests if the could show all that was being built for their future visits. After all so many here keep saying that is all TDO cares about l, selling more DVC's.

Look at the time frame it took for the entire MK expansion. Avatar Land, by itself as a project, will not be open until 2017. With that said, you actually think it is possible to see Star Wars Land and Cars Land by 2018?

The Dwarf ride alone took 3 years. There is no way these rumors are true and that both, Star Wars and Cars Land will be completed by 2018.

Of course they could, if they truly wanted to (but they don't seem to, so I agree that it sounds unlikely just because of how they operate now).

They used to build things much quicker. Now they only take their time because it's to spread out the cost. They also used to do more than just one project at a time.

Now, the big question is how long they'll let that area sit empty. Who's taking bets? 5 years? 10?

How long has Sounds Dangerous been empty? At least the abandon sight will have company.

Is my brain getting that old??? I thought Idol was to close after the first of the year 2014. Delayed by a year?

Well, in fairness they are doing more than one project at a time, they are just not at the parks so its not as great. Bu really, I see your point and that they could most definately have a phase 1 of SW open by late 16, as I have said before.
To have Star Wars Land and Cars Land here by 2018, both would need to be worked on now. With Avatar Land in the process, there is no way we see 3 projects at the same time.
Cars Land is actually a legit rumor again?

I think I recall the rumors at the time was Idol would have already been closed by this point, but I can't remember everything posted.

Sounds Dangerous was "seasonal" for a while and according to Wikipedia (I know ...) it's been closed since May 18th, 2012. Though I want to say it's more or less been 'closed' since at least 2011.

And not to mention the Premiere Theater (formerly Backlot Theater) has sat empty (besides Star Wars Weekends) for HOW long now?

According to a couple of the sites that started this rumor. They claim "their Disney Source" told them that Idol and Indy are closing to make way for a huge expansion, which is Cars Land and Star Wars land by 2018.

I know the SW part, I just never heard the Cars again since like early 13. I suppose it could happen, I would just be very surprised

Yeah, I was just looking that up. Hunchback last performed there in 2002 (why couldn't they run this show to death like their others? I really enjoyed it), and nothing permanent that I know of since. Empty for 12 years.

Well, I think we can do some simple math to come up with the fate of AIE...

Ah, well. At least at this point something new could come

It's sort of easier to ignore that place I guess because it's not really in a central location. It's different, IMO, when you see Superstar Theater empty or even if they left Theater of the Stars on Sunset Blvd. empty. And the Premiere has long been used as a special events theater so clearly they let themselves believe it's being used.
