Things went off the rails in the years right before Iger. They are still fixing the mistakes. It will be a long time before they return to that style of management.

No one in the last few posts are saying it's closing as a fact, and they should know it's a rumor that has no weight right now. It sounds like it's a given, at some point, it will close, so I don't see the harm in discussing that. It may close in the future, it may not. I don't think it should when that time comes to start on SW, but we all know they do what they want.
Won't be the last time.
However, nobody seems to have suggested (at least not recently) that it might close during this fiscal year. If you mean the closing also won't be ANNOUNCED during the fiscal year, that's something a little different.

I'm sure that SOMEDAY it will close. It's just not going to close right now.
And All the Star Wars rumors? There's not even a budget approved for the project.

I do not know how you respond. What should I know?
I want to be sure on this. You are saying it will not close before July 1 2015? There will be no announcement of it closing at all in 2014? And if you are wrong will you admit it? I know the rumors and they may be true or they may be false but I would say it with such certainty unless I was 100 percent sure. I hope you are. But in any case I will make sure I see both shows in September. Just like I saw the parade at AK in April.

Ok, so you can explain the reference to the fiscal year. Is he saying it won't close before September 30, which we already knew, or that there will be no announcement of any closing before September 30, leaving open the possibility that there may be an announcement after September 30.
Ok, but what do you believe he was trying to communicate -- no closure within the fiscal year, which is absolutely not anything substantive, or no ANNOUNCEMENT of a closure within the fiscal year, which might well be considered substantive. I was trying to give the guy some credit after others had bashed...and instead I got bashed. No good deed...
PD told me that I should know what he meant, but I do not. And I suspect you also do not. Or maybe what he was telling me is that I should know that he's being purposely obtuse? In which case, why bother.
