no, she was a blip on the radar screen. take fantasia. add a big ol' poooofy afro, half the talent, and horrible clothes, and you have macy gray. she had one hit about 6 years ago, then did some opening stuff for dave matthews band, and then fell into obscurity.

Next week, Camille is out. I seriously doubt she has the talent to make-up for the last two weeks, especially with a difficult genre like Mo-Town going against her. I may have to record George's performance though... he's gonna set a new standard.

I missed the second half of last nights show, but from what I saw (heard) I would say the first girl (Camille?) or 'The Pen Salesman' or the 'Sinatra Guy' will be the bottom three tonite. I just hope one week they do "HEAVY METAL" night. I would love to see the Macy Gray rip-off tackle a Metalica song. :hurl:

The fam watched and they agree with Judd on the bottom three with Jon Stevens going. They said he was awful.

Thought George was great. He has the voice for Motown.
I thought there were some weak performances (not all music types are for everyone) and why does everyone worship Fantasia? I think Camille is out along with Mr. Sinatra there.
When are they going to learn to project their voices?

John or Camille is out tonight, most likely John. The only ones who seem to really be showing potential now are Amy, La Toya and George.

That's cool though, I could listen to any of them for a long time to come.

I would have said "a cat bringing up a hairball" but I guess your definition was a bit more PC. As far as who I don't like: Camille - there is nothing to her voice, just plain; Jon - a sinatra style is not an American Idol style, bye-bye; John - has gotten by on . . . what exactly has he gotten by on?; Fantasia - see above for hairball comment, her voice grates on my nerves; and Jennifer (I think that's her name) - she has a big voice lookaroun ) but I think she feels compelled to over-sing . . . everything.

What a let down!

It's MOTOWN for crying out loud! These kids are running scared. Very weak performances from what I had anticipated to be one of the best weeks of the season!

At this point they should all be PLAYING TO WIN - not playing to make it to next week! What honor is there in that? That you didn't come in the bottom 30% of your class??? :hammer:

Here's my weekly review in order.....

Very "safe" performances by LaToya and Fantasia.
No "RESPECT?" No "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman?"
This was their chance to wrap up this talent show and show us why they deserve to win......didn't happen. I expected HOME RUNS....got base hits.

JASMINE ROCKS!!! She has improved every show and I look forward to more from her. She has plenty of opportunity to knock Fantasia and her attitude out of the top two, and I can't wait for it to happen!!! (HINT: It will be the week she sings "Colors of the Wind"!!!)

When Jennifer's hair went flat, why did her voice go with it? I have to give up hope in her after two weeks of bad show. With talent like that, there is no need to over sing every note and push it flat...too bad.

Diana was OK. I'm not sold on her yet, but I do have one complaint: She is the WORST DRESSED of all the contestants! SOMEOBODY CALL VERA WANG AND HELP THIS CHILD!
She would have won me over if she had hammed it up with a poodle skirt and a pony tail. ONE MORE CHANCE...and that's it!

George took advantage of the only category I could ever listen to him perform outside of this show. I even picked the song he should do a week ago and got it right. Nice job. He'll be the last guy in it just to keep it interesting. I predict a final of 4th place for him.

John Frodo Lewis was actually OK last night, but we're just stringing him along for two weeks so we can get rid of the other two first......

Jon and Camille. They were both pathetic and show no signs of recovery. (Nor of deserving to have made it this far in my opinion!).

WATCH FOR THIS: Camille will go tonight because Jon has more disillusioned people in his home town calling in for him. And I should know....I live there.

As I just got finished reading through this whole thread I was curious about something....what ever happened to the person on here that claimed she was scatgirl? I noticed the week they showed her again that the person on here never made any comments. I guess I'm a skeptic but as soon as she said she was scatgirl I was thinking suuuuure ya are. Have any of you seen her on here anymore?

BTW, how does Tivo work and is it expensive? Do you subscribe to it like you would cable or dishnetwork or is it something you buy that goes along with something like that?

I'm getting worried about this show now. It's turning--or has turned--into a popularity contest of who America likes the most, not who is the best singer. DO NOT tell me that Carrot Top John sings better than Amy Adams or Jennifer or Latoya. Although we still have the best talent in the competition, I'm worried about someone being ousted at popularity's expense. Simon was right in his comment last night about America living with its decision.

Jon's father can afford a larger call center than the other contestants, I guess.

Even the cameraman knew it was good show to keep cutting to Jon's face every minute. Looked like the governor just signed the reprieve......Dead man walking!!!

The solution would be to allow only one call per phone number, but that would suck the hype right out of the show. It is what it is....entertainment!

TiVo is a digital recorder for your TV with the ability to record "live" TV for playback, as well as to record your favorite shows when you are not around.

The website is below and explains more specifically the different versions and features available. You can subscribe monthly after you buy your recorder, or pay the "lifetime" fee, which is what we did.

It's really great when you have to squeeze your television watching in at small increments. You can pause and save shows as long as you want. By manually fast-forwarding through commercials and "filler", you can watch a 30-minute show in about 12 minutes. It's GREAT! :sohappy:
Especially valuable when there is so much "fluff and seacrest" on the IDOL show!!!
