Oh, boy…There were other people around laughing at me so I assumed it was harmless when they saw it too, but I was creeped out. Some of us ran and some stood there. Figured they were locals and knew it was harmless.

Thanks for the heads up. I know nothing about snakes.
In 2012 we decided to grab a seat early for MSEP in the wheelchair section near The Christmas shop in Liberty Square. (We had family in a wheelchair.) As we got closer there were CMs ringing the tree that's there and someone was talking avidly on a walkie-talkie. A long snake had decided to curl up next to the tree and nap. Animal Control came with a noose and bucket, caught it and took it away. That was a little extra magic I guess.

I probably would have ran away screaming. I don't do snakes. Yes I know it's Florida and I have seen plenty while there but that doesnt mean I like them.

Thank heaven I live in boring Ohio. Deer, rabbits and moles is all I have to worry about..........

Ohio actually has three venomous snakes. Just very uncommon and endangered. Every little kid knows that if you smell cucumber you have a copperhead nearby, unless you are in the garden, it would be a very weird coincidence if there was one nearby. But, man oh man, those moles are tearing up my yard and every few miles I smell a skunk.

Yeah. Basically, the only alligators I want to see loose are the gators that hang out at Port Orleans Resort. Not real, and they have cool outfits and play instruments.

Now, I haven't swung by that hotel in awhile, so I hope they are still there. LOL!

Not sure if you saw my encounter report on this thread. I did not handle it well at TTC. I had to somehow come back from the direction I ran, and I had to get coaxed up the ramp to get to the monorail en route to Epcot.

1. Two big and burly dudes that lived locally, and were total sweethearts, offered to stand near the edge where it was to let me pass. Brave souls. Chivalry is not dead, thank God!

2. My stomach gave me courage. Because no way in heck was I going to lose a Le Cellier dinner res and miss out on beer cheese soup. Not going to happen. I ran up the ramp looking like a fool and not looking back. LOL!

Let's go use the Youtube Time Portal to the day a real Gator was in Splash Mountain..

LOL now this video is funny. I hope the kids/people screaming in the background were on splash mountain on btmr. I mean really - this is FLORIDA! I lived in Fort Myers last year where a large population of gators are and it was common for them to be on the campus I worked at. Albiet - rarely roaming the grounds but not at impossible.

There is a small gator in the pond next to the North Depot at Riverside.

Now that would really be something to see. Hopefully they were able to "relocate" him safely.
Doubtful. Gators are typically afraid of humans. Once they start coming around and lose that fear, they become a nuisance. Usually it's because people were giving it handouts. It would probably have to be put down.

A gator would like a hand out. Or a foot. Or a small child.

I play a course where there is about 10 foot alligator on the 12th hole. It's funny because he comes out to lay in the fairway and there will be a circle of balls around him. LOL. There's a sign there to warn people since he's lived there for as long as I've been going there. No point in getting rid of him, adds to scenic beauty of the course.

Here's a gator during the PGA stop. Hilton Head is loaded with gators so I see them all the time.

Yeah, thats Hilton Head. Last time I was there, I was photographing a wedding and I had a gator yell a mating call at me in the parking lot. (Imagine a lawnmower being pulled to start. Now add a guttural, jurassic, eat your whole tone. Then Proceed to run to the car.)
