All things Magic Mountain

That Batman suit looks like a combination between the suit from some 70's Batman knockoff from Turkey and a $10 Halloween costume of Ben Affleck's Batman.

why does it annoy me so much when photographers do not know how to set up a picture properly. Who came up with the arrangement and position of those actors? They didn't really think it out thru for this publicity photo

If you thought face characters (DC Super Heros) at Six Flags looked bad. You should see The Joker.

Six Flags really makes me appreciate how Disney and Universal handles their face characters by looking as accurate as possible. For Six Flags (and international Warner Bros Parks) they flip flop between appearances.

Thank goodness Green Lantern in the background isn't there anymore. I never got to ride it, but I've heard plenty of horror stories.

They kept Green Lantern and Batman open for an after hours employee event back when I was working there. Rode it 5 or 6 times that night. Batman about 10.

The doctors say it'll be a miracle if I ever have a kid.

You know that if this wasn't in the context of a theme park discussion this might be misconstrued as meaning something completely different.... ;)

I'm late to this party, but this photo is hysterical! 🤣

Why is Tori Spelling moonlighting as Supergirl? When did Wonder Woman become a sassy Latina from Whittier? Why do Batman and Superman have toilet paper shoved in their outfits where their muscles should go, and why does Superman look like the weatherman at a Salt Lake City TV station? And who the heck is the Greek Smirk wearing a Walkman on the left?

The only guy who looks good and kind of believable, literally the only one, is the Green Lantern.

These characters are based off the Snyder cut version.

Yeah, Six Flags doesn't have a good track record for face characters at the parks.

Ain't nothing wrong with sassy Latinas from Whittier. They are the best there

I went to Magic Mountain in 2015. My last trip there. I mainly went to ride Twisted Colossus. Best roller coaster I ever been on. X2 was in a league of its own and to me not only reinvented the roller coaster but threw away the key so no one could copy it: the fire, the spinning, the music. Wow. X2 blew me away. Tatsu is closest I will ever come to actually flying like Superman. If you want to feel what it is like to fly, Tatsu is the answer. That pretzel loop was gnarly. However there was one ride my whole visit I hated with a passion after the first time I rode it: GREEN LANTERN: FIRST FLIGHT.

Never seen the ride before or any POVs online. Never knew it existed. Saw it and me and my buddy got in line. Slow dispacth was what first stood out to me. Took nearly 2 hours to get through the queue on a hot july's day. As me and my buddy were next in line to go on, as the previous riders exited, one was a male. The look of pain in his eyes as he lifted himself off the seat and then instantly grabbed his nether regions and walked gingerly out of view I knew we had made a big mistake. We still got on. The pain our crotches endured for the next 2 and a half minutes was insufferable. I got off in soo much pain down below. I wanted to tear the coaster apart with my bare hands. I was mad for what it did to me, I was mad it took me 2 hours when I could have used that time to get on at least 2 or more other rides. When I read on this forum they took the ride down, I cried actual tears of joy not just for myself, but for men everywhere who went on that hellish ride.

Going to the employee preview for Twisted Colossus was the high point of working there.

Lisa and I were on the last "public" train for Colossus, and then the pre-opening media filming of Twisted Colossus.

One thing, Sue didn't make many friends on that filming, a lot of "oops" happened, especially in trying to get the trains timed right for the cameras in regards to racing.

Incredible! I was grilling burgers at the Full Throttle Sports Bar on Colossus's last day. I also remember the brutally long line Twisted C had during the employee preview (which I believe was a day before the media preview), it was ridiculous. But not as ridiculous as Twisted Colossus's line when it opened- which stretched to underneath Superman.

I also remember the return of the Mooseburger 'Moose' that they positioned outside the area.
