All things Magic Mountain

Six Flags should learn a thing or two from Disney or even Universal but mostly Disney on how to make a proper character suit and not like a Halloween costume. I wouldn't want to take a picture of them if ever they were doing meet and greets.

Do you guys think less performing Six Flags parks will close? I mean Magic Mountain is their flagship park and most popular but they ain't getting the attendance level they want especially last year, what more those other parks.
Six Flags Great Adventure is probably a bit more of the flagship park than Six Flags Magic Mountain. Back around their bankruptcy Six Flags Magic Mountain was one fo the parks they openly said they were willing to sell.

That Batman suit looks like a combination between the suit from some 70's Batman knockoff from Turkey and a $10 Halloween costume of Ben Affleck's Batman.

Just noticed this thread, so I wanted to comment. I went to Magic Mountain last August and I absolutely had a blast. Well, it was extremely hot that day but I still had a fun time nonetheless. The previous 2 weeks leading up to my trip, X2 had been marked as closed due to a broken part so I was extremely worried that it wouldn't be operating when I went. Luckily it was fixed in time for my visit and I got to ride 3 times. It's such an outstanding and thrilling experience, there's nothing else like it (in the USA anyway, lol). It became my #1 favorite roller coaster after the first ride. Full Throttle was also a pleasant surprise for me. I wasn't expecting that much since it's such a short ride, but it packed a punch. The hangtime at the top of the loop was, again, unlike anything I've ever experienced before. The sensation of hanging above the whole park upside-down was insane. Some of my other favorites from that day were Ninja, Twisted Colossus, Tatsu, and Goliath. Viper on the other hand... let's just say I needed some Tylenol after that.

It was the second Six Flags park I'd been to after Great Adventure, and I do think it was a better park due to its size and ride lineup. Great Adventure isn't a bad park mind you. After all, I love Kingda Ka, El Toro, Nitro, and Bizarro.

Woah really? But Magic Mountain and Cedar Point are the two rollercoaster parks competing against each other with the most number of coasters so I am expecting they are putting their funds more in MM.

They really did. The whole competition of who has the most coasters is one that both companies, and particularly Cedar Fair, stopped caring about years ago.

Magic Mountain has 19 while Cedar Point has 17. I can't really choose which has a better coaster line up cause both have great line-ups. Although, Cedar Point is a better park overall in terms of rides, layout, food and entertainment.

I wonder if Six Flags will still go forward with their RMC Raptor coaster to replace Green Lantern and Tital Wave. It could be pretty cool to see this. This video isn't real but could be what we will get in that area in the future.

Oh, the RMC will be installed, question is when, unless there is some sort of bankruptcy. The contract was signed.

I have never ridden an RMC Raptor. I like the single rail concept but what about the operations? I would assume since it's single seats, with such low capacity, it will be a nightmare. They will have to make every RMC Raptor ride very short as it is now.

It is not like Magic Mountain has coasters that launch ever thirty seconds like Space Mountain does. They are lucky to launch a new train within three minutes of the last train arriving back in the station again. It seems like to save money they are running only one train anyway. They really don't think about capacity there.

A little late to joining the convo, but I think their 3 flagship parks (if there can be 3) are Six Flags Great Adventure, Magic Mountain, & Over Texas. I live in NJ, so obviously I know Great Adventure, but I remember knowing what Magic Mountain & Over Texas was even before I was into theme parks. I think those 3 parks are definitely safe if they sell any Six Flags parks.

Six Flags Over Texas is the first Six Flags park, so it is known. It, along with Six Flags Over Georgia are safe and also get special treatment because those two parks are not wholly owned by Six Flags and there are contractual requirements the company must meet with the other owners.

It depends on property values too. There are houses being built directly behind Magic Mountain now. They can literally see the coasters from their back windows. They are on the other side of the riverbed and are in the area that was part of the recent wild fire in 2017 behind Magic Mountain.

Yeah, character costumes for the DC characters aren't the best at any Six Flags park (Superman doesn't even have the right hair style). Meanwhile, the costumes for The Looney Tunes characters varies between each park. Many Six Flags parks have the same costumes for the cast, but Lola's design is notably different. At least Warner Brothers World in Abu Dhabi has some of the Looney Tunes gang looking more accurate (Tweety is notably different at Abu Dhabi).

Same with Warner Bros Movie World in Australia.
