BUT, even if Knott's has a ride capable of high capacity, would they run it that way? My limited experience puts that in doubt.
I don't think Cedar Fair is as bad a Six Flags when it comes to running one train when they could have three on the track. (one loading, one waiting and one running) Somehow Disneyland can run multiple trains on the track at once. That is really unusual for a coaster.

The historic 1978 flywheel-launch roller coaster will be reimagined as Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress with a randomized launch sequence and an immersive storyline in an expanded queue.

The first flywheel-launched roller coaster in the world and the oldest shuttle loop roller coaster still in its original location will offer riders a new twist as Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress. The randomized launch sequence will make it impossible for riders to know if the trains will be launching forward or backward.

A new station and queue experience will take riders through Montezuma’s hidden Aztec fortress filled with boobytraps and the remains of treasure hunters.

The Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel will get a new backstory based on the love story of the theme park’s founders Walter and Cordelia Knott. The new hotel theme will be expanded to the updated lobby, 322 guest rooms and restaurant. The multi-million dollar renovation will start later this year.

Hopefully they bring back the Snoopy good night hugs in the Camp Snoopy rooms.

New Knott's Scary Farm maze to go in the Mystery Lodge queue. It's another shooter like Special-Ops except with Vampires instead of Zombies.

So it sounds like it's still going to be a flywheel-launch, but with an upgrade in terms of randomization. If so, that makes me Very happy!

This one is interesting. This is for Grimoire an unannounced maze. It might go in the Mystery Lodge as a prequel to the Futuretronics show from last year. Same book.

It needs a theming boost. More detail. More shade. More entertainment. More charm. The ride mix is solid, and it’s got the best light show in the park. It just needs more life.

Oh, and ease up on the Wild Mouse’s trim brakes.
More shade would be nice. There is too much concrete. That wild mouse kills me everytime. I think I'm too tall for it.

I think the Excellerator area could use a refresh. The 50s theme feels old. It needs some classic cars and get rid of the carnival games. More shade there too

Still the flywheel-launch but it will shoot either forwards or backwards.
They mentioned the flywheel in a historic context, but did they specifically mention that launch system being retained? I can’t think of a way they could use the old system AND launch backwards up the small spike half the time.

redo the entire boardwalk area with either a something in a jungle theme with lush plants and shade everywhere...it could be dinosaurs, or extending the mayan/aztek jungle vibe or something totally different like creating a new cool city steampunkish city themed land to extend the bearytale/theater area. something that disney doesnt alreay have a bigger version of.

It's better during Haunt with crazy clowns and the lighting effects from Hangtime.

I can't see them using the flywheel. It would make more sense to use a magnet launch system.
