The problem is the drop off zone is needed for those with disabilities since there is no shuttle service from the parking lots., but I would hope that maybe a better system could be implemented. At bare minimum, they should have security there making people circle like at the airport until the person they are picking up is there.

None of this fully solves the drop off problem though.
Disney's drop off area is not exactly close to the parks either, and they're not even bothering offering tram service from the main lot right now, so I'm at a loss to understand how they can get away with that.

Actually, Disney's main drop off area is right on Harbor with about a 3-5 minute walk to the main entrance. There is a secondary drop off at the parking structure and another one at Downtown Disney as well, which while they are further walks to the park, are closer to certain other places. Additionally, while the trams are not running (which I think is likely permanent given that all other So Cal theme parks have eliminated parking lot trams), they have a ECV/Wheelchair rental location where the trams would normally load.

The Knott's lot is roughly a short 5 minute walk to the entrance, going under Beach. And don't they have some parking along Grand that's easy to walk from, in case someone needs to avoid that ramp under Beach? Knott's is a little bit longer walk to the entrance, but not by much. Knott's lets you get right up to the gates. Disneyland does not let you do that.

I’m here now. First time at knott’s. This is pretty wild. I’ve had a lot of weird theme park experiences; this is a first lol. They’re running the scrambler but everything else is closed. Hoping this is resolved non-horrifyingly and they can open back up!
I got a feeling this is gonna end bad. This guy has a death wish. I think he is going to jump

This is a first for you? You mean you've never seen someone climb a 325 foot tower and sit up there?

I don't think this is something that can be blamed on low season pass prices. Some people just think nothing of making colossally stupid decisions.

Six Flags passes are even cheaper, and it's not like people are climbing Superman every week over there.
Fair point. I will say Six Flags has better security though.
