You seem to be faulting them for a shooting that happened outside, and a nutcase who climbed the tower. Although they really should have some sort of locked area to access that ladder, it makes no sense someone can get to it. Of course, who would think someone would want to.

I fault them for their stupid statement after the shooting and trying to down play it.

I read that after a couple hours he climbed back down and was arrested. Nothing too exciting.

I heard that since he was such a good climber, Knott's hired him to do maintenance for Supreme Scream.

The Knott's lot is roughly a short 5 minute walk to the entrance, going under Beach. And don't they have some parking along Grand that's easy to walk from, in case someone needs to avoid that ramp under Beach? Knott's is a little bit longer walk to the entrance, but not by much. Knott's lets you get right up to the gates. Disneyland does not let you do that.

The problem is the other lot on Grand isn't always available and the marketplace parking only works if you have a disabled placard, which not everyone who can't do that ramp under beach will have.

You are correct, Disneyland doesn't let you get right up to the gates; however, if the person I described above is going by themselves, the drop off is a moot point.

this would make a way to eliminate that ramp make a lot of sense.

No, it wasn't actually based on the news reports I saw, it was on the sidewalk outside, but even if it was on Knott's property, unless it was inside the park, it wouldnt matter how much admission is, as it wouldn't have been required.

Umm, Knott's would be one that could press charges. Given the height, he was in an FAA restricted area and they could press charges as well. I am sure the DA could also do so.

Knott's has been very crowded. Weekends are worse, but they're also busy during the week.

Only thing I've seen said that there is a problem with the lift hill, and that they were waiting for a part. But it's been a long time, so who knows.
