All things Knotts Berry Farm

While it definitely seems an improvement from the last use of that space, I feel as if Knott's should have abandoned the premise all together and built an actual dark ride again. I know this was a way cheaper option, but when you have Universal building a ride like Secret Life of Pets, it just seems like Knott's needed to build their own physical experience.
I still prefer this to Snow White’s Enchanted Wish.

Looks fun, though not as musical as I’d hoped. Okay use of the characters. This is a makeover and a step up from Iron Reef, after all. Many people do love game rides. There is charm and whimsy here; AAs do not equal imagination (see Disney’s Little Mermaid and BatB rides). Granted, it doesn’t come close to the original KBT, which I adored. I do love the overall callback to the original’s scene sequence. This is Cedar Fair, and I’m glad they’re at least bringing back the characters that add some more variety and color to the park’s lineup.

As a gamer, though, I gotta criticize the abrupt pacing at the start; it’s not immediately clear when the game begins and exactly what the targets are. Also, the repetitive animation of the fox pups is annoying. Still, I’m glad to see KBT back in any form.
I appreciate your point of view and have given me some things to think about on my take.

In all honesty, the last time I was at Knott’s I was ‘extremely’ impressed with how well it was staffed, crowds were managed, along with the upkeep/maintenance of the park overall. WAY better than Disneyland’s been lately. Looking forward to going back soon to experience the new Bear•y Tales & possibly the river rapids ride if it’s opened.

Bear-y Tales was closed today. Not sure if it ever opened at all today but after a few hours of checking back this afternoon, I asked and they said it would be closed the rest of the day.

I do think Knotts is better than people make it out to be. It's not Disney but it's not really trying to be. I haven't been to six flags in maybe 15 years but I think Knott's is much better than six flags.

I've mentioned this before. Many years ago I got in for free on Veteran's Day and decided, even for free, I wouldn't go back. Many folks here have convinced me it's worth going back, so it's on my list.

Spent the day at Knott's today. The place has really gone downhill. I saw so many tattooed employees that I thought I was at Disneyland for a second
I was there on Saturday too. All of our interactions with employees (do they have a special name like Cast Member or Team Member?) were great. No one's appearance detracted from our enjoyment.

I'm just making a joke at the expense of Disney. Knotts was fine. But it's not Disney... Yet.

I have a soft spot for Knott's because all my winter formals in high school were at Knott's. My high school would rent it out for the evening and the dance floor was right in front of the Xcelerator, but my friends and I would just ride rides all night in our suits and gowns and enjoy the empty park.

Just snagged tickets for my birthday in July! Really looking forward to this and specifically, the Kingdom of the Dinosaurs and Haunted Shack photo ops! I know that might sound silly to some but those two were major attractions in my life growing up. Now, if only the Mystery Lodge were open or had some sort of tribute, too.
