All-Star Music Resort

I've only stayed outside of the park and in 2005 stayed in All-Star Movies. It was cute and I liked it but this September we are staying at All-Star Music. Could you please share you thoughts and opinions on staying here? Please be honest - the good and the bad- about this place. We've already paid for it, so I'm staying there but I'd like to know what to expect. There will be no kids going with us, but kids at heart! Me, my husband (he has never been to WDW), my father and his girlfriend (she has never been to WDW). Thanks!

I have been to 2 of the 3 All Stars... I like them for a value resort, but the few downsides are sometimes it can get a little noisy (a lot of kids), the pool area can be very crowded and there could be a lot of walking depending on where on the property you are staying. I personally prefer moderate resorts. You get a little more for your money I think there. But to break a few people into the Disney spirit a value resort is a good start.

We stayed at All Stars Music last September, it was the first value resort we had stayed at (previous stays being Coranado Springs and Wilderness Lodge) and we were really nervour because all we found were bad reviews!

We stayed in the Broadway building and we loved it! The car park was about 2 minutes away (we hired a car) and although the main building was further, it wasn't the 20 minute hike some people would have you believe it is! I would say it took less than 5 minutes!

The main pool was always quite busy and quite noisy as it was full of kids but the staff organised games for them, played music, did henna tattoos etc and the thing we really loved about it was that they played a movie in the evening that could be watched from the loungers and the pool - it was just lovely!

People also complain alot about the buses but we didn't really have a problem with them! In the two weeks that we were there, we only had to stand a couple of times and that was straight after the parks closed and we went directly to AS Music anyway so there was no problem!

We've both agreed that we would stay there again without any hesitation!

If you've already stayed at All-Star Movies, expect more of the same. They are very similar. The only major differences would be the decor. If I remember correctly, ASMu is the second stop on the bus if all 3 resorts are sharing buses. That's better than the 3rd stop which I think ASMo is.

I personnally like staying at the All-Star resorts. Sure the moderates and deluxe resorts will have additional amenities but I prefer the All-Stars over the CBR (which I probably will never stay at again). I thought POFQ was a beautiful resort and look forward to staying there again some time in the future.

I stayed at the all star Music in April this year. It was only me and my boyfriend, and we both loved it, we stayed in the Jazz in, which isn’t too far from the reception area and food court and it was right between both pools, but we stayed at the back, which was better as it was quieter. I would recommend this hotel as I didn’t have any problems and its great value for money.

We are also going back the end of August this year :D. I wanted to stay back at the All star music but My Boyfriends family booked it as they are coming to this time, and its for the All star sport :goodnevil I cant complain really they are right next door to each other and within walking distance, an I suppose all of them are good to stay at.

Anyways enjoy you trip :sohappy:

Thanks so much! I figured there wasn't much of a difference between that one and Movies, but I didn't know the distance and I did not know that there were two pools.

ASMU is my favorite of the ASR b/c it seems to be quieter than ASSP and ASMO IMO. I do prefer Pop over it, but ASMU is my second choice among the value catagory. I don't think you will be disappointed.

The family and I have stayed at all three and found them to all be pleasant. Just remember that if you face a pool it will be noisey, and they share the buses. For me if we were to stay at any of the ASR it would be All Star Sports, because it's the first resort that the buses go to in the morning and the first one to drop off at night. Yes it will be crowded, but if you pace yourself and try not to rush to the bus stops, take your time, they won't be as crowded. :animwink:

Something not mentioned is that all of the Music rooms were refurbed within the past couple years. (They were done after the Family Suites were created) So music could very well be the best of the three to stay in.

Also, I'd suggest you request a room in Jazz. As others have mentioned, it's close to the food court and buses, but you don't have to pay for a "Preferred" room.

Another benefit of staying at the All-Star in the middle is that when you're leaving Epcot or Magic Kingdom at the times when they're running separate buses to each All-Star, and the Music line is really long for some reason while the others' aren't, you can hop on either of the other buses and make the short walk over to Music.

Lastly, they allow pool hopping among the three All-Stars, so you're free to use the pools at any of the All-Star resorts.

Music by far. We stayed in the suites last Dec 1st week supposedly during Pop Warner and it was extremely quiet. We had a room on the third floor across from the pool in Calypso building and it was so quiet. Really, there was not all the rowdiness that others have reported. Extremely clean, wonderful service at check in... Buses were not long at all. Besides you have to experience all to fully enjoy being on vacation. I guess some want the bus to run as fast as a microwave, but the trip is half the excitement of getting there. Plus you get to talk and meet others from different states and share must do's or don'ts.. ASMusic is great..

Thanks for the tip WDW-LUVR! I don't take the walt disney world bus. Our Family take the car to the parks! I can't hardly wait to pick the Broadway theme I hope!
