(No, not the "many adventures of Meathead")

There was a spin off before the jeffersons aired and was on the same network. there were three total spinn offs of All in the family

Also can you name the TV program that All in thre Family was based on.

(I'm the type that watches the dancing squirrel in the corner of the screen...(do you know what I mean?))

I don't really understand the squirrel thing, but I know what you're talking about.

Sorry, I have NO idea...actually, I'm too young for "All in the Family" I've just recently started watching it because it's on Nick-At-Nite. (It's on right now actually...it's a really old one!)

Tramp...thanks for the Pic of the LaSalle's.

My dad would always tell me the story about how he as a youngster, in Jersey, would drive his dads LaSalle....and then how the one time he got into an accident....

This convesation usually would start When all in the family came on....I remember the first time I asked him what a LaSalle was....

wow...I just had a flashback.....

does anyone know the words to the theme song...I can't figure out what the last verse says...

G-R Old LaSalle read great???

MYSTERIOUS LYRIC: People always ask what the lyric is in the next to the last line of the All In The Family theme song. It's:
"gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days"
(The LaSalle is a car.)

Well, there's Archie's Place, the Jeffersons..."And then there's MAUDE!" lol

I found extra lyrics to the theme song in a music book I have:

Verse 3:
People seemed to be content;
Fifty dollars paid the rent;
Freaks were in a circus tent;
Those were the days.

Bridge 2:
Take a little Sunday Spin;
Go to watch the Dodgers win;
Have yourself a dandy day
That cost you under a fin,

Verse 4:
Hair was short and skirts were long;
Kate Smith really sold a song;
I don't know just what went wrong;
Those were the days...
