I might go over there and take a gander today. There's almost no way that they've updated the content. Personally, I was going to be happy with the refurb if they just got the curtains in theater two working. The return of an awesome paint job was just a surprise bonus! I suppose anything is possible if that was pushed through.

Theater Two Curtains = YES PLEASE!

What do you all think needs to be done exactly to UOE? I know Ellen and Bill Nye need to go, but I can't really think of anything that can be done to the attraction that wouldn't make it boring. Anyone got any ideas?

It really kills me to say this, really does, but I wonder how they can make the pavilion more exciting/interective/ relevant with the old ride system. It would kill me to loose it, but it just might have to be done.:dazzle::(:(

But, does the ride really have to be a thrill attraction?? I think a dark ride would be fine, and maybe a ride system like the omnimovers.... they can move through the ride a little faster than the huge vehickles in UoE move now... and of course, Disney can add a load of show scenes...

Eh. If you two can't deal with it, give it to me.

Oh, no, never said that a thrill attraction would work there.:lookaroun Disney might think otherwise.:brick:

I was thinking an Omni too. (trackless?)

ORLY!? Do tell, I'm interested in how you retain the HTMV's/Traveling Theater Cars in a newer, more relevant, UOE.:D:wave:

They seem to be finally getting their grip back on Epcot... To ruin it, they would put in the Monsters Inc Roller Coaster here.. :lookaroun

Agreed.

A question for you all what do some of you people have against the leave a legacy statues? It might because I have a LAL but I live them!

The Leave a Legacy statues are great! They really add some texture to the park entrance.

Oy. I disagree with both you.

The LaL idea is a great one. It's execution, notsomuch.:dazzle: They look visually imposing on SSE, (what's the focus!?) add more concrete to the region. Concrete on steel is overkill...they could supplement it with greenery. If they would have two opposite's (buildings on nature) the juxtaposition would be quite nice. The current set up is too much like a concrete jungle.

A: Work on quitting the abbreviations, HTMV is beyond confusing IRTS.

B: S'all about the Films. I think compelling enough Films can be made to exploit the interest and importance of Energy in these times. The only real changes I'd need is to remirror and work around with Theatre 1 for a new finale, and of course they'd need to install my "Revisioned" Radok Screens.

Along with Systems upgrades, lighting, and some new effects all around.

Huge Time Machine Vehicle. You don't remember that!?:(

And what's a IRTS?

Hmmm...So the diorama would stay? I like this idea.:D

I like LaL and we have a few tiles as well. That being said I do not like the current location of the tiles as I do not think it fits in with SSE and the surrounding areas of the entrance plaza. I would like them to be kept intact but moved to a new location, especially since they do not sell any new LaL tiles now. Moving them to a new location would free up space in the entrance plaza and allow them to make the area more convenient for guests - and more aesthetically pleasing.
