I would think "management" just wants to get Imagination and the descent finished right now. Seems like a new pavilion might not be a priority. The success of KP might just give those managers a bit of leverage however to get the needed funding for JII and SSE. Just a guess though.

One would REEEALLLLY hope you are right.:) I think if we were to have those pavs refurbed the only REAL problem would be aesthetically Nemo land.

*can't wait for that attraction to get old and icky and in need of a overhaul*:lookaroun:lookaroun:lol:

Sorry, Nemo is a great attraction for kids and well done. Not everything is designed just for Epcot purists.

What the seas need is an epcotcenter-ish e ticket. Then it will all make more sense.

This is from Tony Baxters mouth himself in the early 90's

"We were very hot on doing a Russian pavillion and we were very close to doing it in Florida and then the whole economy changed over there. We have a completed show that was read to go and maybe it will come to life here in WesCOT."

So it would seem that the design and project do exist, just the willingness of management doesn't.

Russia would have been an amazing pavilion ... with two large scale attractions ... one a boat ride, one a theater show ... top quality ... but World Showcase will never grow unless Disney can find a country willing to put up the lion's share of development costs. And Russia is in no position to do so these days.

The only substantive talks about WS expansion in the past decade involved Spain a few years back ... and they didn't really go that far.

Shame...But if they can't bring new countries, they can at least add new attractions to the existing ones.

And Spain has been on the table since 1978!:lol::lookaroun

Phase Two my....geodesic sphere...:lookaroun:lol:

Entertain, Inform, Inspire.;)

They had a short omnimover ride that needed to be a full fledged ride. At least they got the "entertain" part in as far as kids are concerned. But a new e-ticket could contain al the EII a purist could imagine. Then all would be well. Patience, and don't begrudge the kids their Epcot EII please.

Agreed! They could integrate the spirit of the old Pre Show very nicely...I think that was one of the better ones.

Ok, argue about this:

Mission:SPACE is the best ride in Epcot, closely followed by Journey Into Imagination with Figment and the incredible new film at O Canada.
