You mean WestCOT?
Standard ASCAP license, I presume. Of course, it's free publicity too, as I have purchased the actual album "In The Wake of The Wind" (a Grammy nominee, I believe, in the early 1990s) because of its famous first track.Since this is now the official Epcot thread' I have been wondering about something. Does anyone know the terms of the contract with David Arkenstone which allows them to play Papillion (On the Wings of a Butterfly) in Innoventions Plaza?
It seems as though that website was purchased by a private party after Disney ditched it... Certainly its interface dramatically changed as is evident from a quick browse around these options. And 2010 is nearly here, and no broken ground. It would be ridiculously safe to conjecture that all of the budget and effort that may have been destined for a third theme park is now directed squarely towards the California Adventure redo.Whoa, I totally remember that website! I don't hold much hope that an eventual third theme park would be WestCOT.

Imagine an Epcot clone on the West Coast...but built to be dumbed-down from the start.I hope not...Let's keep EPCOT an original.![]()

I imagine a Spaceship Earth which would take us from the dawn of e-mail to the modern era of the iPhone, interspersed with various Disney Channel characters playing online games with us via the in-car touch screen computer. Finally, we reach the 180°top and find that all the stars projected onto the ceiling are arranged into constellations of Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers.

Well, I'm sure you're familiar with how different WestCOT would be, that the original EPCOT Center would still be plenty unique and special enough.

Oh, of course...But I really don't think they could pull off a EPCOT Style projct at the current moment or ever again, for that matter. Especially if they were to start out with the current attractions.
Now, if they started out with the Center originals brought into current times...WOW.
Yes, yes you do.Still, I spy a nice little bit of artwork of St. Basil's Cathedral that would look very nice gracing the skyline of our World Showcase. Be nice to see that come to Epcot.![]()
