Just to clarify, the monorail station would appear to be a part of the building. The way I see it is the roof line of the mono station would be curved and lighted similar to the edges of the communicore buildings. The "new room" roof line would be slightly higher, the atrium slightly higher than the "new room" and the original building slightly higher than the atrium. So the whole structure would resemble a kinda wedding cake or step pyramid form and retain the original rounded appearance. It would all apear seamless from the outside and could be covered with "space age" materials and lighting effects that create "motion". That stainless steel siding is starting to show it's age. I understand what you mean about a huge new monorail station but I think it would blend in very well. In fact it would be difficult to tell it was a monorail station except by the signage that advertised it as an "Express Monorail" to the TTC.
I think the idea of a transportation hub in the Epcot parking lot is great. Different new mass transit technologies all converging in a "grand central station" like hub would be very nice.
My entire plan is designed with cost in mind. The whole reason I came up with the plan was to show EPCOT Center ideals could be brought back without major disruptions and within a budget that does not take funds from other WDW projects. That is why I didn't conceptualize it with any major new dark rides etc. All my changes could also happen without any long downtimes for Test Track or the monorail for that matter.
That said, I still like the ideas you both have come up with. A lot of cool ideas to think about. Thanks for your feedback!
