There's that MSN page, but I can't find the actual videos. I have a feeling that we have a WDW Magic video page, yet I can't seem to find it. All that pops up is the "Welcome to our World" videos. Help, plz?

P.S. I'f you didn't notice, I'm a happy miser due to the thread name change!

Well, we finally got the name changed. Thanks, Mom!:lol:

Soooo! Epcot... great park, isn't it?

And HMF, I'd love to talk about SSE just as much as you do, but right now we don't have any new info or reports. Anybody headin to Epcot in the near future? I won't have a chance to ride for another 3-4 weeks probably, and I'll post a report when I do, but can anyone get there sooner?

Ideas for WoM v. 3.0

As promised,

Phase 1-- Reboot the TT storyline that would create test vehicles that are putting new automatic navigation computers through their paces. The computers "personalities" would range somewhere between KITT from Knight Rider fame and HAL 9000 from 2001:A Space Odyssey and would continually take passengers on "joy rides" due to problems in it's artificial intelligence. The ride would reflect the humor of the original ride with plenty of allusions to TT's past problems.

Phase 2-- Add a monorail station at the front of the TT building but with the load station entirely on the Innoventions side of the track. One of the things this would allow is guests to board an "express monorail" to the TTC from a central location in EPCOT. So then guests coming from the TTC would disembark at the old station but exiting the park by monorail would take place at the new station. This would require reversing the way the trains run now but it would be a real value added, quality of experience enhancement for Magic Kingdom resort guests traveling back to their resorts or park hoppers. It would be especially welcome after a long day and Illuminations to not have to trek with day visitors to the main entrance. So I could envision a long ramp that would start from about the KP recruiting kiosk location that slopes slowly up to the new station. The new station would be futuristic with LED lighting and covered by a canopy with a translucent roof "checkerboarded" with solar panels that would provide the power for the lights at night. Batteries and other hardware could be installed within the ramp. A small walkway would run between the ramp and lagoon (with railing) so guests could observe a new attraction I see for the lagoon (I figured out a way to produce revenue from that lagoon:lol:, more about that later).

The monorail platform would also have circular pedestrian ramps on the northwest corner (for emergency egress and disembarking passengers for special events) and the northeast corner (for access to a new 2nd floor pavilion that would be built between the new mono station and the original WoM building (phase 3, which I will describe later). The circular ramps would be scaled down versions of the large circular ramp the original WoM ride utilized. The monorail station would serve 2 other purposes which I will describe in my next installment of.......Return of WoM!

I know this is a bit nebulous but it will soon make more sense....at least to me .....

These are my own musings inspired by the SSE refurb. Any similarity to plans buried deep in Imagineerings archives is quite coincidental. Just armchair imagineering here.

OK critics I'm best when challanged on my ideas so flame away:fork:

I'll be back with more tomorrow....

It sounds really good...But VERY hard to imagine! What would be done with the existing mono track?

Let me be the bean counter here: cut that down about 75% and then MAYBE we can talk about it, you know, because, well, we just cannot afford to throw a few million into making things better :)

Disney definitely needs to bring in some micro-brews into the World Showcase. The US needs to better display our real beer.

Also we need a Belgian pavilion so we can have all of the great Belgian beers.

IMO the World Showcase should have a huge variety of beer (with hundreds of beers on tap) and the Rose & Crown Pub should be the focal point.:king:

:brick:

The station would be next to the existing monorail track on the Innoventions side. Roughly centered on that car wash cooling station spray-o-rama contraption. Of course in my plan that would have to be removed.:lookaroun
