He DOES have Merf's banning era avatar!

Oh wow...Oh boy...Please trust me when I say I am swear-on-my-life-cross-my-heart-hope-to-die not him. Hopefully Steve could back me up.

I mean if I need to, I'll change my avatar. The last thing I need to do is post on here with my avatar being this board's equivalent of a swastika.:(

Ah, I remember that night. That was a fun thread.:D

Indeed it was. Probably the first and last time, I'll get to do something so significant while at WDW. I tried to get into the Mansion early (which I did) but alas, I did not get to ride, just see a little last minute work being done...

I talked to one of the Imagineer/Survey people in Project Tomorrow that night, and she knew nothing about the 25 in the window but thought that was cool and she'd look into it.

Don't change it! It's just ironic...I didn't even catch it until someone brought attention to it.

How slow can you get? Sorry.

P.S. I do know what those are. Just didn't know the abbreviation.

The gravestone of all extinct attractions that you must cross before getting to the happy zone. Or a marketing thingy that etched your face onto metal which was placed on a large piece of rock in hopes that your great - great - great - great - great - grandchildren would see it, thus legacy.

Sigh. Too true. Get in the (continuously moving) lines with no FP. You could figure on 30-40 minutes for each Omni including riding. Earthstation was a great place to sit for 10 minutes. Play on WorldKey. Spend 15 minutes waiting for Energy, then 45 - 50 minutes riding. Horizons could take up 40 minues. Motion, an hour or two if you wandered the (much bigger display and much smaller showroom) Transcenter. Imagination again could take 2 hours plus with the longer ride, lavish Imageworks and Magic Eye Theatre. The Land... 90 minutes to 2 hours. The Living Seas - half a day if you wanted to see and read everything. Now there`s an interesting concept. Reading! Life came along and swallowed up another half day if you wandered all the displays as well as the 3 attractions. And then Communicore. You could honestly spend a day meandering through both buildings. In natural light too.

In 1987 and 1990 I spent 2 days in EPCOT Center and only saw the highlights. In 1993 I had more time but still missed so much. At its pinnacle I dare say you could take 5 days in the park and still miss the finer details. Nowerdays its SSE to M:S to Soarin' to TT to Ice Cream. How many guests even realise that big fountain performs a show I wonder.
OK, you deffinitly know way more about Epcot then me, but didn't Horizons just have one attraction that was 15 minutes long? Now Mission: SPACE has a 5 minute attraction, and exhibit space where you can spend atleast 10 minutes, so I dont know if they really lost time in that pavilion. And WOM was 15 minutes too, with an exhibit area where you probably could spend atleast an hour. And now TT is a 5 minute ride and the exhibit area can probabally be seen in 10 minutes, so they did lose something there.

Going back a few messages, yeah hate to say it too but the glitter city is gone and is just one big hole of black empty space (ugggg) where those three pointless triangles are hanging and come together in a point. Its the former peppers ghost area thats totally still covered up with curtains, which many of us think these curtains have moved closer to the vehicles in the past few weeks.

Well, that little bit of news shot some adrenaline into this thread! Pity it wasn't true. :(

And as far as the glitter city, sorry to be a downer but I don't think there's anything left of it. I'm 95% certain that there is no curtain there, only dead space and the cluster of triangles. The only thing that might be left would be the night sky mural with the star lights on the far wall, but I wouldn't bet on it. From what I saw, there is no trace of the model city.

Really I hope I'm wrong, but...
They might have put parts of Glitter City in the cityscape before the Mainframe scene.

Didn't we kinda explain the triangles earlier?

Triangles? This is sounding like high school trigonometry (hey kids, do they still have that?)

I have nothing to add here ... except this thread has to have set some record for the use of those abominable smileys (I think I just decided to not use them again!)

Carry on ... gotta go listen to 'Tomorrow's Child' on my EPCOT soundtrack!

More like giggle fits. I once rode in the time machine right behind him and his friend on SSE.

If you are discussing M*erf or Thr@wn because you think it will make Steve close the thread, I don't think it will work.

He will only delete those specific posts when he wakes up.

Good morning Steve.
