Put it inside a gigantic golden Versailles-style picture frame! And then on the wall!

The letter is suitable for framing..

**runs to the D23 website looking for a special frame.. found one for: $90 bucks!!!!**

In all seriousness, I was contemplating finding where to write Marty now and ask him for an autographed picture... I wonder if he would really take a few seconds out of his day to sign a picture????

Marty Sklar sold his soul to Michael Eisner years ago.

And Eisner is bad why? Because he took an ailing corporation and gave it a kick in the rear in to the right direction.
That's exactly how I see it. Heck, if Eisner didn't do certain things, we might not have had much of Disney left to be fans of.

Let's be fair: Eisner and FRANK WELLS took an ailing company, brought it huge success... When Frank Wells died, Eisner ALMOST brought the company to the brink of disaster... And because of the egotistical maniac, I mean Eisner, we almost DID lose the company...

I am talking about the Eisner that brought us DCA.

With the exception of JITI
I think Epcot is a good as ever.
Im glad Universe of Energy is getting a rehab and i think The Seas and The Land pavillions are much better now than in the past.
I am even a big fan of SSE.....yes, even with the "jetsons" ending.
All in all, Epcot is doing well.

Couldnt disagree with you more.

1. TT There is absolutly nothing futuristic about it
2. UOE is 15 to 20 years outdated
3. Nemo does not belong in The Living Seas
4. SSE has no desent

If they arent going to bother to even try to keep FW up to date or about the future they should change the name like they wanted to.

Different strokes for different folks.
I like Epcot as much as in the past.
UOE may not be dated after the rehab.....but in the end, most folks "ride" simply for the dinos anyways.
And where would Nemo go? In the Land pavillion...:ROFLOL:?
As for SSE, some love the new descent, some hate it.
Im really indifferent. I kinda like the new one but i didnt dislike the old one.
And, who knows, someday SSE may go back to the old version.
As for TT, When GM bows out, and they ARE, im hearing Toyota or Honda WILL get the sponsorship. Honda is big in D.L. so Toyota may want TT.
With the new sponsor, there WILL be a rehab. But, really, who doesnt like TT?
Seriously though, Epcot must be doing something right, its the 3rd most visited park after M.K. and Disneyland in the U.S. and 6th in the WORLD.
So, id have to say most folks ARE happy with it.
Not all, but most. We were just there in Aug...I enjoyed as much as in 1986......my first visit (16) birthday!

There`s no proof about Dobkins doing the SSE VO instead of Perrin; all references I`ve found still say Perrin. I say Marty's possibly wrong on this one.

Trivia; Perrin also did the VO on the 1982 UoE.

In your opinion

How about Animal Kingdom...oh wait, they DO have a Nemo attraction there too. Why does it have to be in Epcot?

Some people enjoy shopping at Wal-Mart and watching Jerry Springer too

People ride it because it's a family-friendly thrill ride, I don't think they're generally curious about the road testing cars go through. If Toyota does take over, I will be VERY happy because I know they'll make good changes to it. I recently visited Toyota MegaWeb in Tokyo, which is a huge showroom, with lots of nice interactive things to do, it's a beautiful, top quality place. Hopefully we might see a mini-MegaWeb in Test Track.

They also have many things people go there for, Flower and Garden festival, Food and Wine festival, and lots of locals like to go there to eat and drink in World Showcase.

Well I was definitely shocked when I read the article, especially since everone has assumed Perrin for so long. Maybe someone can write to Marty again :p

That would be me.
I've had a more thrilling ride on my drive to WDW. Same effects, but all more intense than TT. The "cobblestone" effect is cute for the 10 seconds, but the "Alabama Pothole" effect is for hours and more intense (on the highways going 60 MPH). The hairpin turns, steep inclines, heat, "acid spray" are nothing to what I've driven through on my trips. The semi-truck jack-knifing in the opposite lane, flipping on it's side, and skidding towards me; was MUCH more thrilling than what TT offers.  Some people love the Indy Speedway at MK, I think both Indy S. and TT are lame.

Yeah, Dobkins is the only other name I've heard and that came from Marty.

And I just found about the Perrin in UoE recently...That's pretty cool.

I'm also of the mindset that Epcot isn't as strong as it could be.

Spaceship Earth - We have huge threads (this one included) devoted to this ride, obviously there are changes that still need to be made...

Universe of Energy/Ellen's Energy Adventure - Believe it or not, I think this attraction is more relevant than ever. Ellen was brought in to be the host at the time when she had a sitcom, and now with her talk show she is still relevent. The topics, and how they're addressed are also relevant - the only difference is that Stupid Judy isn't holding a container of Activa, and running to the bathroom every Jeopardy commercial break. The thing that's actually irrelevant at this point are the Dinosaurs, and the fact that this is a ride. In my opinion, it doesn't contribute to the attraction at all, and they should all be relocated to Dinosaur in Animal Kingdom.

Wonders of Life/The Odyssey - Empty pavilion/restaurant. I understand having one empty venue, but not two.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends/Living Seas - I never got into the Living Seas. Prior to this re-purposing we rarely if ever went into the pavilion. It brings in kids, and I have no problem with the Nemo overlay. Turtle Talk with Crush is one of the best attractions Disney has come up with in the last 10 years, and the Nemo dark ride is a quality C ticket. They just need to get the Angler Fish and Animatronic Shark working properly.

Imagination Pavilion - This needs to be changed. As I've said on here before, for a company that houses some of the most creative minds in the history of the world, the pavilion that's devoted to imagination should be far superior than this.

The Land Pavilion/Soarin'/Living with the Land - Soarin' is the best attraction in the park, and I would love to see more merchandise (namely air fresheners) themed around Soarin'. Living with the Land is stale in my minds eye, but I don't have any suggestions for improvement. I also respect the organic dining option, despite my preference to eat unhealthy crap while on vacation.

Mission Space - This ride was a colossal failure. It seems that they wanted to pay homage to Horizons or adhere to some corporate mandate by incorporating a level of interactivity with the ride. The problem is, that interactivity is fake. Arcades have simulators that do the same thing (sans the g-forces) and they can be interactive. How difficult would it be to have consequences for not pressing the buttons at the right time? It would make each ride somewhat unique, and infinitely improve the quality of the ride.

Test Track - Aside from the maintenance issues, I'm not as hard on Test Track as some of the others on this board. I think the problem is that it's in Future World, and it seems that the concept of Test Track was designed for Discovery World, or Discovery Land, whatever the name was supposed to be under Project Gemini.
