Back in the day when Disney MGM Studios opened they had a walking tour took place where Toy Story Mania is now. In there was a short 2-minute film starring blank Wee and Mel Gibson and Darryl Hannah where they showed the magic of sound editing in film.
Other films there were The Cosby Show cast talking about making a TV Show (that one was really short lived), Warren Beatty on making ________ Tracy, Bette Midler in The Lottery, George Lucas, C-3PO, and R2-D2 talking about film editing.

So, UoE is getting repainted, the fountain was fixed... Please let this be the beginning of bringing back Epcot Center... Wasn't there a rumor a while ago that the plan was to go back to Epcot Center or was that wishful thinking???

Don't forget that Imagination might get a much needed rehab that will bring back Imageworks and hopefully Dreamfinder. Disney also needs to look at WoL.

I think one of the resident insiders said that the plan was to bring back the essence and excitement of EPCOT Center, not bring back EPCOT Center wholesale. They want a hybrid of EPCOT Center and Epcot.

Fixing the descent, fountain, and UOE's paint scheme would definately fit into that plan, in my book.

Yep! It indeed would be a great thing to see a merged and integrated park. Much like Epcot'94, as a matter of fact.

Only texts I got was that it looked pretty and a bit stronger. :shrug: I don't know about lighting or new shows though.

I'm all for just bringing back the name "EPCOT Center" (oh, heck, let's bring back "CommuniCore", too, while we're at it). I think using that as the parks name would allow better for the potential expansion of the EPCOT brand into magazines, TV channels, etc.

I do too. EPCOT could be something so much more than a park (I take it you read EPCOT Central?) EPCOT Center would be the "capital" of all of what EPCOT is.

OK thanks. I guess I was hoping for something a bit more state of the art rather than just a standard reurb. Especially since the technology has advanced so much in the last 10 years. Sounds like a lost opportunity.

15 years. In fact, the fouuntain was designed in 1992-3. Now THAT is a long time ago...

But not in the fact that it opened it's market a bit up and updated many things.
