Al Lutz says Fantasyland Budget has been "Reduced"

How? I said the budget would not be reduced and you and others have said the same thing.

I rember there was talk of a 3rd gate in California, then DCA was set to get a revamp.

If anyone else agrees with you, ok, fine, but I am not going to let just you call me out on credibility.

1) Condumdrum wants to feel important.. let him..

2) There was talk, I remember... Am I going to search the internet looking for that talk? No.. got more important things to worry about.. I will leave that to others who conviently forgot...

3) As stated here, WDI asks for a boat load of money, more than is needed, funds are cut, they get exactly how much they need... And the haters cry BUDGET CUTS!!! the same haters who claim to know how thigns work, but then suddenly, can't figure out that THIS IS HOW THINGS WORK!!!

End of thread.. peace!!!

Temporary meaning Toontown temporary??? if so, that parking lot will be there a good 20 years plus... Cause we all know how Disney handles temporary...

nobody really knows at this point.. I just know that they are desperate for parking spaces, especially after they had to close the Timon lot.

@HMF : do we really need to bring up Superstar Limo again? :brick: we get it - you think the ride is awful.

How does any of this (including DL's 3rd gate) relate to the Fantasyland budget?

If they are desperate for parking spaces, then it seems more permanent than temporary to me

Theres word that another parking stucture on the Buzz lot will be built (across the street from Anaheim Garden Walk) but for the time being with no where else to put cars. On busy days when the Mickey and Friends structure is filled and the lot behind the PPH are filled they park guest at Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim Garden Walk, the Buzz lot, and the few lots that already dot the 3rd park site.

No, jt was just trying to...

Honesty, I have no idea what he was trying to do.

He is grasping at straws because, sadly, his extreme positivity isn't so bright right now.. Not that there isn't anything to be positive about, but, he is over the line... And he is trying to spin some POTENTIAL bad news (even though I don't see this as a CUT but a TYPICAL way business is done) into being a lie...

I wish I had the link to the really-long Micechat thread that had all the details about the parking situation.

based on what I remember reading.. Disney wants to build a bigger parking structure close to the resort but for some reason those plans haven't gone through yet.

The quickest solution was to build a temporary parking lot.. the land where the new parking lot is going is actually quite a distance away from the actual resort -- it isn't really the ideal place for a DL parking lot:shrug: so I don't think it will end up being permanent

Which means it may be up for the next 5-10 years:brick:

Well then now a temporary lot makes sense...

and why would that be a bad thing? the land is just sitting there.. at least it will be useful for something

like I said, DLR is better off without a 3rd park right now.

now about the FL budget :lookaroun

So, it isn't a bad thing when Disney uses empty space in DL for a parking lot, but, the mention of a parking lot in WDW, and everyone is bashing TDO???

Do people really miss the Galaxy Place Theater?

Maybe because the Stitch stage got built and there was already a theater/stage in TL? I know I dont miss it. It seemed like waste that it just sat there all the time and only used at Christmas parties. Unless there were once some shows that played year around.

Ummm yea. The current set up of Tland without it is terrible bad show, and not to mention they BUILT a brand new stage when they could have just updated/upgraded the Galaxy. Which had seating. And shade.
