So it looks like this weekend may finally be it. Twitter is reporting that Cast Previews are scheduled for this Friday.. with the opening happening Saturday or Sunday. i'll definitely be there!

edit - nvm. Al Lutz had this to say.. :(

Editor's Note 2/11: Hundreds of Disneyland Cast Members will be testing Captain EO on Friday afternoon, but don't expect it to open this weekend as a Valentines Day gift. WDI will test the newly reprogrammed motion base theater floor to see if it syncs up with the EO film well, before they commit to using that effect with the public. There's still lots of work to do and perhaps several more weeks of waiting, although the Imagineers are burning the midnight oil and hoping for the best during the tests. - Al Lutz

Oh, well... would have been cool to have gotten to see it when I arrive there this weekend. First time I've been to Disneyland, but there's plenty of other things to be excited about, so I'm not all that disappointed. I really wasn't expecting it to be open anyway when I got there.

it looks like it may be another 2 maybe 3 weeks according to recent reports. one thing I noticed about all the painting and work going on.. does this mean HISTA isn't returning? I wonder if they will through the trouble of repainting everything back to gold and bronze once EO leaves.

With the purples and blues they are using.. it'd be easy to accommodate a certain Monsters attraction :lookaroun possible we may see that rumor materialize? I guess i'm over-thinking this. :lol:

Ah. Maybe that's why this is taking so long...MILF. I think it's on it's way, to be honest.

It is possible. HISTA wasn't very popular, and I doubt DL fans would be happy if it returned. On the other hand, i'm scared to think of what those same fans will have to say about MILF. :lol: They were already upset with Nemo taking over the subs. I really don't see them bringing in a unique attraction to this location, unfortunately.

Good point. I highly doubt that they would bother repainting the exterior if this turns out to be fairly major.
The color scheme actually looks good, and if Monsters does unfortunately arrive, at least it will have such a great looking exterior.

Here's another theory though, maybe this is a small step towards retheming Tomorrowland as promised.

:lol: That wouldn't be good, considering fans have higher expectations than us. Then again, DL has a tendency of improving OUR concepts when they do materialize over there.

If anything, MILF should go over to the Studios in Paris or DHS.
