It was a joke. Get over it.
Champion, some of your replies in the past including this one are seeming just plain rude. Me along with alladinjrstar did not understand what Pumbas Nakasak said. Some people may have found it offensive. Please just think before you post. People will feel unwelcome with comments like "get over it". Please help keep these forums kind and friendly

Sorry, but if someone is going to get offended over such an obvious joke, they need to get over it. 95% of 'saks posts are humor filled and tongue in cheek, so why did aladdinwhatever choose this one to take issue with?

By the way, I did think before I posted. The original version of what I was going to post consisted of much more than 'get over it'.

It was something along the lines of 'He meant that those smelly Frenchies need to take a shower and stop waving white flags every single time a single soldier comes within a thousand miles of their border.'

Do you think that one would have been better?

Since aladdinjrstar just joined he doesn't know 'sak's sense of humor... those of us who know him expect that sort of thing.

If these sort of conversations were taken to PM then there would be no people "feeling unwelcome" and no misunderstandings or unfriendly atmosphere.

Just my 2 cents

Don't worry about it. Just be aware that Pumbas Nakasak has a great sense of humor, which is quite funny sometimes and usualy is relevent to the topic discussed. I just plain did not understand what he meant with his comment, and that if somebody were to take it the wrong way, then it could be interpreted as offensive. You did nothing wrong with what you said and a few people on this forum are quick to respond with rude comments and don't care for others on these forums. Everybody on these forums tries their best to keep them kind and free of rude comments, and the mods on this site do a good job at doing this.

Tigsmom: Sorry about that, next time I will attempt to take a post like that to Private Message.

Heading for the great escape.
Basically, since this a water ride, the rafts cascade by gravity, but there can only be so many in each zone, and the rafts in the previous zone won't move until the other rafts move.

Usually what happens it a sensor disagreement, but only give you a ride stop not a E-Stop. But like what has happened before is the downramp sensors were blocked but no raft was there. So they had to E-Stop the ride and stop the pumps to go check the sensor and when they got there, there was a frog blocking the sensor, so you get the frog out of the way, then the ride is good to go to start back up, but you can't start the ride with guests in the rafts, so they have to get all the guests out of the rafts. And that
is when they got injured, when exiting a ride that was shut down already

I was there Tuesday when it happened.

They cut off access to that area of the park. Though I read that they reopened the ride later that day, I left around five-ish, and it still was closed.

When we asked one of the cast members who was blocking off the area, we asked what had happened. They said it was "technical difficulties." Which was rather humorous since as she said it, an ambulance pulled right behind her.

I didn't really hear anything on the local Orlando news, but from what I read, the injuries were minor, but i think the people involved will still probably file some kind of lawsuit.

Pumbas, allow me to translate your humor for those who didn't get it. I know, if you have to explain it, it isn't funny.

First Point: Another time that the Kali was shut down, it turned out to be a frog blocking the sensors. Another poster said you get the frog out of the way. Sometimes the french are refered to as frogs or associated with frogs. So, to start up the water ride again, you have to "get the frog out of the way." Translation: A French person is in or near water and getting wet.

Second Point: Pumbas was teasing/accusing that many citizens of Europe are not known for the same bathing habits as those from the USA (weekly vs. daily) : water ride = bathing.

So his 'joke' meant ... A Frenchperson was getting wet/bathing in the Kali Rapids and blocked the sensors. Thus the line: "I didn't think <the French> bathed that often"

It was a rude and insensitive joke aimed at a specific nationality. But Pumbas doesn't care if he is offending anyone, and as far as I know isn't running for election, so either set his posts to ignore so you never read them, or roll with it.
