Good vocals, boring performances tonight
For me:
1. Melinda/Jordin - Both were absolutely fantastic. Can't seperate one from the other tonight.
3. Phil - 2 in a row. He's found his stride.
4. Blake - Good vocal, but not really the type of song to impress. I do not like "Imagine" anyways.....there I said it.
5. Chris - One of the better performances for him. I'm still not sold on the whiney, nasal stuff, but I guess it's his thing. Still, much better than usual
6. Lakisha - Not bad, but she shouts and goes on crazy runs too much. Again I didn't think she was bad AT ALL, but I think it's her time.

Jordin was good but I thought she got caught up in her emotions and thus didn't sound as good. This is the second time her emotions got the better of her. If she would have kept the emotions in check it would have been so much better :shrug:

Based on this weeks performance Lakisha will go home. She had so much potential but isn't carring it through any longer.
I perfer Chris to leave but :shrug: and I'm must be missing what Phil is delivering :shrug:

3. Chris - it was pitchy, but sincere.
4. Blake - clear and in tune, but not much emotion on what is the best motivational song of all time. There, I said it!
5. Melinda - the emotions seemed forced/fake and it didn't do anything for me.
6. Lakisha - she doesn't want this anymore. She's been told for four weeks straight that she's yelling rather than singing and hasn't made any effort to change.

I've gotten thru twice for Melinda and once for Jordin after like an hour of trying. It's safe to say those two are safe. (I didn't vote for anyone else)

Maybe you had to "be there" to get the big impact of it. It's just way too simple and dull of a song to pack that emotional punch for me. I think Blake did about as good as he could with the song, but it's not the kind of performance you're going to remember next week.

Jordin gave me goosebumps - the first time I've gotten goosebumps from any performance this season. Melinda was great. I actually didn't mind Chris too much. Phil was just boring. Lakisha didn't deliver at all. And Blake was just bad. No emotion, bland vocals, and incapable of pronouncing the letter "p." "Imagine all be beeble, living life in beese..." And I, too, have never been a fan of that song. And I'm "older."

They could just end it tonight - crown Melinda and Jordin co-Idols and spare us from listening to the rest. I think Blake might be leaving tonight - his performance was atrocious (Does he not have any teeth?), and he looked like an ill-conceived animatronic singing! :lol:

Including Melinda would create too much backlash. Jordin stands alone. I could be spared Melinda's singing and lack of personality just as easily as the rest of them.
