I will admit it I do watch American Idol every now and then but I really do disagree with Disney in putting this attraction in. I think its a waste of an attraction and money. We have all of these brillant imagineers and this is all we can come up with?. I just dont understand it, oh well theres nothing we can do about it now.

We just don't go. Attendance will speak volumes.

While I agree with you, the attractions has been getting decent reviews. Just less people in line for TSM, ToT, and RNRC.

I'm not a big fan of the show, but I am not going to condemn an attraction before seeing it in person. I'll give it a try at least once. I think its a good thing to at least have something there rather than just an empty theater.

It was the most boring 30 mintues of my entire Disney life. I have never been so embarssed to be a Cast Member. My mom and I just sat there looking at each other because we both couldn't believe how horrible it was. I'm sorry but I do not want to go see a show with mediocre or horrible singers, overly scripted "judges" (who lets face it are just "actors"), the singers being insulted by the "Simon-esqe Judge". And the worst part of the whole thing was the stupid Jordin Sparks music video where they made the whole audience get up and sing along.... I was so upset when it was finally over we rushed over to Guest Relations to complain. The fact that probably most upsets me after seeing it, was cutting back on a great show like Fant! and adding this crap that I wouldnt even watch if I was watching it on tv while home sick.

I LOVE American Idol. I have never missed an episode. Great tv entertainment.

And when I head up to WDW in April, this is actually something that I am REALLY looking forward to seeing! I can't wait. :-)

We are planning to see it when we go because we all like the show. I'll decide after that if we ever go back. I think it will be fun, but who knows? :)

We were there for one of the early previews. It was exciting knowing that it would be just a one shot to get in at the 1pm show. Then the closer it got to 1pm, the interest disappeared.

We decided 30 minutes early to get in and get a seat. 20 minutes late start due to people getting situated. 45 minute show going a bit longer because it is a preview. 20 minutes to exit and get on with your day. The 2+ hours invested were by far not worth it. That's on top of the fact that it is a hackish idea to begin with.

I was fortunate enough to catch this during cast previews in January. I was impressed. But wasn't blown away. I'd like to be there when the theater is full, so I'd like to watch a show next time I'm in Florida.

The only way I will see the show is if I have to kill time for a FP. Also the only thing drawing me to AI is that is it air conditioned. I don't watch the real show at home so why would I waist time at disney watching it?

I will say this once and only once! American Idol had no effect on Fant! being cut to twice a week! Fant! was going down in Jan to twice a week wether American Idol opened or not. This attraction was suppose to open last fall but was delayed until Jan. The timing was coincidental only. Further more, AIE's finale show is not to be a replacement to Fant! If that was the case why would they run the show on nights when Fant! is running? So you may complain all you want about the AIE but please don't try to throw it under a bus for a cause that is unrelated!

We saw it January 14th and enjoyed it, although we probably won't take the time to do it every time we go to that park. Rather ride Toy Story.

I have never watched AI on television and have no desire to, so this attraction does not really appeal to me. We may check it out once, but even that is doubtful.

I do watch the show. I'm the stereotypical reality TV junkie. I try not to watch. In fact, never watched AI until the 5th season. Now I simply can't resist. I am interested in the show, but can't imagine it being that entertaining. My favorite part of the show is the auditions. I don't know if they're going to show some of the pathetic auditions maybe as a preshow, or what. But, without that, I can't imagine the rest being that great. In case you are wondering, I slow down and gawk at car accidents too.
