Why Except Epcot? Sarcasm I suppose

There are still a lot of spots lacking in epcot (wonders of life, imagination) that could become really good attractions but disney hasn't done or announced anything about them.

Edit: I also posted that before the expansion of Soarin' and innovations west closure was announced. Still, Epcot is lacking in terms of upgrades/refurbs/new attractions

I didn't read every page of this thread (yet), so sorry if this has been said...

What I've always thought would be neat would be a Tiki Room themed restaurant with talking/singing birds and such. Kind of like a Rainforest Café but with some of the characters from the attraction and the occasional song, thunderstorm, and all of the various birds, flowers, etc. all doing the occasional number during the dinner.

I haven't seen this yet but that does sound like a nice idea, and show some love to the Tiki room.

Nah, we're fine with sparkling cider considering that we have a whole subset of cider from apples that isn't alcoholic. Thanks though.

So instead of us renaming things so you can understand them perhaps you guys across the pond should just get out more?

Maybe a little bit defensive over your poor choice of words to remember the puritanism of the makeup of your continent many years ago. Remember we kicked you guys out ... just sayin'

Thanks

Over here we can get apple juice that is concentrated and re-hydrated, filtered and heat treated and therefore sold with the dry goods. I can also get apple juice that is just pasteurised (no filter & not from concentrate) and that is sold in the chiller. If it has no pasteurisation at all it is usually sold from a farm shop.

One thing no one seems to have clarified for you (and I'm sure you'll either laugh at this or feel ill), is that here in the US, if it says "juice" it has to contain actual juice. OK so far. However, some companies make products called "drinks" with little to no juice, just artificial colors, flavors, and sweeteners. So Orange Juice is primarily juice from oranges, where as an Orange Drink may taste orangy, but often there is little to no juice involved. (Look up Orange Drink on Wikipedia.)

Also, in case you're over hear any time soon, a juice doesn't have to be 100% of the juice it's named, but must contain real fruit juices. That is, with "grape juice" you will find in the ingredients that there are may be a lot of apple juice as it's a neutral flavor with a smaller percentage of grape juice. If it says "100% Grape Juice", it should be all grape. If it says "Grape Juice, 100% Real Juice" it's a blend.

So you can see why we have so many problems with our food supply. It's not the individual people, but with what the government allows and mandates, often based on how much lobbyists from different industries "invest" and push them. Only now are we the people pushing back enough so the government starts to correct the system and the manufacturers address the demands with new healthier products.

Here is something interesting - Disney appears to have had Adventureland Veranda listed as "active" for food service with health inspections going as far back as Sep. 2013.

Hard to believe they would have kept this place listed as active for 21 years, perhaps it was offline for some time then re-instated. My guess is they'll be filing a new name soon, if any rumors about theme are true the old name will not fit at all.

PS - looking now to see if Aunt Polly's or anywhere else familiar is active ;)

It was open at some point within the last few years during Christmas week.

They even had an inspection in October 2014. It has been discussed that it shares a kitchen with Diamond Horseshoe and Liberty Tree, so it might just be a clerical issue that required to be be considered active and be inspected.

They use it as event space, so if your company rents out Adventureland for the night, food and drinks will be in this space. I don't think it was ever decommissioned from food service (probably not up to date computer wise,) but still able to kick out hot and cold food to some extent.

It was being used as an outdoor vending kitchen/prep area for a while.
