I've never, ever met Peter Pan! I've looked for him a hundred times, but no luck, even though we've seen him around the park. It's one of my favorite movies, and I'd love to meet Hook and Smee as well!
I have met Hook and Smee on my honeymoon. Hook tried to steal me away from my husband to the backstage and Smee tried to steal my rings and get rid of my husband. They were quite the act, nothing like adult fun with the characters.

We always try to find Jiminy in the parks. He's the only one in the park we get in line to see and get a photo of now since my son's grown up. But since we are Disney Visa card members we usually take advantage of the member benefit and go to the Visa M&G. We do stop a lot and watch from a distance as some of the cute kids and families do their M&G's.

I'm 24 and I wait in line for pretty much every character, no matter how many times I've gotten my picture with them. I love the interaction, some are better than others and its fun. Part of going to Disney is acting like a kid, so I throw on my mouse ears and enjoy every aspect just like a kid would.

Yup, pre our Daughter my wife and I always did the Meet and Greets by ourselves! IF there ever comes a day that my daughter doesn't want to go any longer.... DOUBTFUL. We will still go.

Agree we are all kids at heart why not get a pic or two. My kids make me pose with princesses. One of my favorite pictures is me with Captain Hook and Snee taken at EPCOT in 2002. Back when the Double decker bus would drive charecters around.

We met ALOT of characters on our last cruise. I waited in line with my 4 year old girl to see princesses, mice, aliens, pirates, ducks, dogs, chipmunks, and a wooden boy. I saw that Jiminy Cricket was going to be out one day and that was one character I wanted to meet. While my girl was in the kids club playing, my 2 year old boy saw Snow White and decided he wanted to get closer. This turned out to be my favorite photo of the week. :D

My DW and I went last December by ourselves. Early Anniversary trip/gift. NO KIDS. Had a blast and waited on every line we could to meet the characters. I'm a big kid when i get there. I never think twice about getting on a line for a meet and great or a picture.

I love to get autographs and pictures, but if the line is too long, I usually don't wait. My favourite place to go for M & G is WS because there's a lot of look at and take pictures of while I wait. :)

Nothing at all odd about adults wanting to meet the characters and get photos/ autographs...as many posters here have already attested.

I once took a friend through the Parks who was visiting for the first time. She was in her 40s and very excited about meeting the characters.
I would say we spent a good chunk of time standing in queues to do so, but she so loved interacting with them and collecting up various photo ops.
It totally made her trip...i had absolutely no doubt about that...and it made her experience much more magical. To this day when i talk to her, she still raves about her amazing visit to WDW and all the fun characters she met.

So adults...do not be shy! Walk right up and meet your favorite character in person.
TALK to the characters....and see what happens! Maybe talk about the movie the character was in, or tell them how lovely or handsome they look. You will love their responses.
Be NICE to them...and they will indeed make a bit of magic happen for you!

Honestly? The meet and greets will make the trip for me. I intend to do as many as possible, as when I have gone with my parents we never did many AND I never got to meet a princess!!

I think part of the draw for me is my performing background. I love to see people "in role" and interacting with them and watching them improvise. Trust me, it's difficult. It also helps that I'm five years old inside and as soon as I am in that park, I will be suspending disbelief, and Mickey and all his friends are absolutely real.

I am 28 and love having my pictures taken with the characters!!! I don't care if it's all little kids in front of me, fun and imagination have no age limit. The way I see it is, we grew up with these characters, just as this generation is growing up with them and more so why not meet the characters we love(d)? Do we not have the same right just because of age? Great way to show our kids that you are never too old to have fun and do what makes you happy.
