So I decided I had to write a pre trip report seeing that I am only 6 days away from our arrival day, and I have already planned, changed plans, re-planned, and planned some more... Im out of planning!!! Is it really possible?! I have never done a pre trip before, but I will try to keep this as exciting as possible!
Now let me introduce my vacation buddies, AKA my family!!!
First off, me  I am a 24 year old mom to one amazing daughter, and am currently 12 weeks pregnant with number two who I am hoping is another amazing daughter! haha DH is hoping for a boy, but we wont find out who get's their wish for another 2 months or so! This trip will be my 5th to WDW. I am the self proclaimed Disney addict in the family, and can't get enough of it! DH says it would be cheaper if I were addicted to cocaine.... This trip will be my first trip to the world while pregnant, and I really am extremely excited about it! Sure there are a few rides I wont be able to go on, but its not only the rides that I go to Disney for, its everything! The atmosphere, the smells, the sites, the adventures, the magic... Im not sure that I really have to explain the reason for wanting to go to all of you on the forum, Im pretty sure you get the gist of what Im talking about
Ok... time for the others!
DH- My DH is also 24, he has been to Disney around 10 times. He used to go when he was younger with his family but he never really caught that Disney Feeling that I have. He is an avid fisherman and is a bit disappointed that I didnt book him a bass fishing excursion this trip, but he will still be able to do the cane pole fishing at POR one day... I guess its really not quite the same though  He actually has become much more of a Disney lover ever since we went together the first time. And of course, after we took our DD for her first time last year, he really fell in love with the place! He is definitely lookign forward to this trip and is excited that he will be able to have some special time with our DD in lines and on rides that I can not go on.
DD-My DD is 4 1/2 for this trip! Last year we took her on our May trip and she was 3 1/2 but was 40inches tall! We were very thankful because we knew she was going to want to go on as many rides as possible! She is going to be just like me when she gets older! Before we had planned this trip she would ask us constantly when we were going to Disney World again. I would ask her what she wanted to do on a Saturday morning and she would reply "Go to Disney World!!" lol Oh yes... she is DEFINITELY gonna be like me!!! Her room is covered in Tigger and Pooh, Princesses, and of course, the big Cheese himself! Most of her first drawings are pictures of Mickey and Pooh Bear, and she practices her alphabet by writing out Disney Character names... I love her dearly!
She is very excited about becoming a big sister and she thinks she is gonna have a little sister! I hope she is right!!
Here are a few pictures of us from our May trip last year
Now, a little back story to this trip. We had originally planned out the dates of April 26th to May 6th for a ten night trip. We were waiting for our tax returns to come in so we could just pay in full for the vacation. We wanted to make sure we could use either a pin code, the gift card offer, or a combination of both (doing two reservations). Well the weekend I was planning on booking the trip was the weekend we found out I was pregnant! I did not want to be at Disney 6 months pregnant, and chance having hot and humid weather. The idea of that did not sound fun to me at all! We had already told DD that we were going, so we couldn't cancel altogether (Im not sure who would have been more upset, me or her!) So what we decided to do was move the trip up! I quickly checked touringplans.com to see the crowd predictions, and knowing I had lots to do at work the first week of March, we decided that the second week would be our best bet! Now this meant I would only be 3 months along, and the weather would be about 10 degrees cooler on average. I Emailed Jessica at Kingdom Konsultants, let her in on my new found news and told her my new dates. She checked availability at Coronado Springs which is always DH and my first choice. To my dismay CSR was fulyl booked for those dates, so we had to go with our second choice, Port Orleans Riverside. I am a little bit nervous to try it out, because I just love CSR so much, but I know it is a favorite of many many people, so Im sure it will be just as great a place! Jessica got us booked with the GC offer and we had our 7 day Park hopper passes for the 3 of us!She put in our request for a room in Alligator Bayou, and as close to the main building as possible.
I had been searching for flights for a few days when I found a pretty darn cheap one out of Boston Direct flight to Orlando on Delta, less than $550 for all of us round trip!! So everything was booked, DME was alerted of our flight schedule, and we were only about a month away from our departure date!
I had already made all of my dining reservations for the April/May dates, so I went on line, made all new ones for the March dates, and canceled the April/May ones. Here is what we ended up with for reservation:
Crystal Palace early brekfast ~ this is my favorite meal of the trip, I LOVE getting into the MK early and really enjoy the characters at this meal!
Le Cellier lunch ~ We have never been here so it was a definite must do for us. I wanted a lunch time because of the price difference of lunch and dinner, alot of the same food, for lots cheaper
Ohana early breakfast ~ We enjoyed this so much on our last trip that we had to book it again. Our DD had her most beloved character interaction here with Pluto and I hope we enjoy it as much this year as we did last year!
Donald's Safari Breakfast ~ This will also be a new experience for us. We normally do Chef Mickey's but decided against it this trip to try out this instead. According to reviews this place will be just about as good as Chef Mickey's!!
DH and I both did the give a day get a disney day program and I have already printed out our vouchers and filed them in with the rest of our vacation papers. We are planning on getting the fast passes two different days! This will eb helpful for when I am just not in the mood for standing in line mobs of people... I am not really the greatest people person and can not stand stupid people... It only gets worse when I am pregnant!!
Here is a quick rundown of our itinerary:
Day 1- leave the house at 10am to catch our bus at 10:30, the bus gets us to Logan Airport at about 12:40. Our flight leaves at 3:10 so we will have plenty of time to get through security and to our gate. We should arrive at MCO at about 6:30. We will make our way to DME and be on our way to POR! We are planning on arriving to the resort around 7:30 or so. We will check in, drop our bags off at our room, and then take the boat to DTD for dinner, a little shopping and walking around.
Day 2- start the day with 8:15 ressies at Crystal Palace. We will hang out in the MK for a few hours after and then probably head to Epcot for lunch. After lunch we will make our way back to the resort for a nap and some pool time. After our break, we will head back to MK to catch a few more attractions and watch the fireworks. Wwe are hoping that they still do the Electrical Water Pageant this night because we would like to head to the Poly to watch it from the beach. I will be checking with Guest services to see if it is running this night! Back to POR for some sleep!
Day 3- AK at opening, then over to Epcot for our lunch ressies at Le Cellier, back to resort for a break, then over to DHSto do some attractions adn hopefully catch fantasmic!
Day 4- Ohana Breakfast at 8:35 we will go to the MK for a little bit, then bus to the Swan so we can walk to mini golf! we will then head back to the reosrt for a nap, and then go to Epcot for some late EMH!
Day 5- DHS for EMH morning if we get in early enough the night before. resort break, then off to the MK for some night time entertainment!!
Day 6- Donald Safari Breakfast at 8:10, explore AK for awhile. Resort for a break. Off to Epcot after dinner to catch some rides and Illuminations, then Monorail over to MK for some late EMH if we are up for it!
Day 7- our last full day in the parks. Start at Epcot for rope drop, over to DHS for some afternoon fun, then hit the MK until Close
Day 8- Wake up early enough to bring our luggage to bell services and have them hold it for us while we go to the MK one last time. Our Flight leaves at 7:10 so I am assuming our DME pick up time will be around 4pm. We land back in BOston right at 10, and will have to catch a bus back home, probably wont get home until midnight or 1am
DH and I both took off the following day from work to relax a bit after our vacation
Disney vacations are always tiring but Im hoping this trip will be a little more relaxing since I have been exhausted so far this pregnancy. Although I am hoping to still be able to run around alot, I may end up doing alot more relaxing than I am planning on!
Thank you all for reading this pre trip report! I will definitely be writing a Trip Report when we return and I will have plenty of pictures to go along with it! If anyone has any ideas or tips on being at the world pregnant, or if anyone wants to share anything on the resort or any of my plans feel free!
