No my friend, I am a true American 14-year old.
People like you need to learn to shut their sterotypicial mouths and ask before they go jumping to false accusations.

My accusation was not false. I may have had the exact age wrong, but I hit the immature child title on the head. And yes, you my friend like it or not are an immature child.

5. For the life of me, I can’t remember seeing an alligator exhibit in Dinoland.

There is one small one there near the breakfarantasaurus or whatever you call it. Its a small cage and easy to miss. That's probably why you don't remember it.

The nearest cast member was at the DVC booth right behind the exhibit. As calmly, and with as little words as I could, explained what was happening just across the walkway. He walked over to them as I left the area. <O:p

wooo DVC!!!!

LOL, I remember the days when I was a new ASA having to work at the Dinoland location. I worked there many times and I can assure you I never witness such behavior. Lots of people asked me if he was real to which I would find a humrous way of explaining and hinting that they were silly to think that it isn't real. I saw many kids standing on the edge of the fence since Fluffy (as I dubbed him) favors a corner were it is difficult to view him. I would yell at any Guests that did anything stupid and did not care to be super sweet since Safety comes before all else. Anyway, I am sorry that those lovely Guests did that, luckily it is not common behavior.

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. The kid I have sympathy for. But for the Croc, I could care less. Hell, i would of shot the stupid thing, including all the other stupid animals in the park. Animals are nothing but trouble.

Too bad you weren't the one being dangled as bait for the croc.

I took a quick trip to Animal Kingdom today. On the way out I was walking past the Alligator exhibit in Dinoland. Although this doesn't surprise me, seeing it in person infuriated me.

There was a group of people that found it appropriate to throw things at the alligator to make it move or 'see if it was real'. I watched for a moment as the crowd threw whatever they could find at the animal to make it move.<O:p

One parent actually put their child OVER THE FENCE to get a better shot!!! The shock/Anger was incredible. Frankly I could care less about the kid, but to abuse a caged animal!? The adult of the crowd was a scrawny poorly dressed man with a mullet (I'm apologize for the generalization...but I believe this situation calls for it). I know myself enough to realize that confronting this person, with my temper, would result in some sort of altercation. I wasn't about to lose my annual pass over some .... some type of person. <O:p

The nearest cast member was at the DVC booth right behind the exhibit. As calmly, and with as little words as I could, explained what was happening just across the walkway. He walked over to them as I left the area. <O:p

I contemplated calling 911 on my cell phone, which would put me in touch with the OC Sherriff...and merely saying that someone put a child over the fence of the Alligator pit at Animal Kingdom. Hoping that the police would confront that parent and take appropriate measures. But I knew that by the time they got there, everyone would have already had their fun and left. <O:p

So sad and horrible how people act. This certainly isn't the first time this has happened and I'm sure it isn't the last. I shot an email off to Disney about this...but I'm sure it will end up with the rest of the 'creative criticism' e-mails.

I'm really at a loss for words.

One of the reasons that Animal Kingdom has become my favorite park was that they treat the animals with dignity. This puts a very bad taste in my mouth. Why wasn't there a cast member nearby to make sure the moron humans didn't throw things at the animal?

If you get anything less than the answer you want from your email please post it here so others can take action with pen and paper to let Disney know this is totally unacceptable.

It surprises me too. All of the animal areas of the park have cast members there to answer questions and such, and those are exhibits that are so big it would be hard to harrass the animals. This one is so small, and right across from the McDonald's (osaurus) restaurant that would would think there would be someone there for just that reason.

Again let me say this...

I have worked at the DVC desk that is directly across from that area. I never witnessed anyone throwing things at the Croc. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but it doesn't happen everyday, week, or month for that matter.
There is not a cast member there during the entire day because it is not needed. If we had a cast member standing at every single animal area to stand guard we, the company, would not make any money.

It sucks that those Guest did that. I am not happy about it, but this is not a big dilema.
