Please correct me if I missed something, Is the taping happening Main Street today???? I haven't seen any pics of taping on Main Street on twitter all week. Maybe because it's during the week and everyone's at work? Are we not having floats in the show this year???
The actual parade is being filmed today, yes. They've got over 150 pounds of confetti on hand as well.

That's beautiful! Great job...especially on the spur of the moment.

That's almost too good to be true. I wonder if he was a "planned" backup in the event Ariana was a no show?

I kinda doubt it was spur of the moment. I mean, what are the chances that a singer with a voice of that quality is just vacationing in MK Florida from California and standing there at the same exact moment that they needed someone to "cover" while Grande's "missing"?

And how many times does Disney give someone a mike in front of the crowd in the middle of a show during the taping of a Christmas special? Or in general? They control that kind of stuff like crazy.

You'll also notice the dude barely reacts when there are cameras everywhere, even going around him. Yeah. Spur of the moment and random dude just standing there, it was not.

Yep, looks like a social media operation.

Here is the interview he gave to a blog afterwards. It sounds completely random:

I actually believe that it was random. And if you listen to him, he's not perfect by any means if you want to get technical about his performance. Many people who sing/perform love Disney (I go often with people who could've done this same thing) so I think it's definitely within the realm of possibility that David Foster took over for a bit and did a quick ear-check audition with the audience and this guy won the jackpot.

But then again it could have been a plant. :p

Seemed unrehearsed to me. I mean, he was brilliant for the spur of the moment. If this was rehearsed, then he was quite unpolished. I know people that could sing equally as well at a moment's notice. When you practice and perform as he does, it's not that intimidating to stand before a crowd or cameras.

Yeah, the crowd wouldn't intimidate someone that performs regularly.

About as real as the Disney "flash mob proposal" that went viral a few years back. Ended up being staged.

Damn...this is making me miss WDW...

Odd for the first time I've seen a DL commercial. Usually here in Atlanta we see WDW commercials.
