A YouTube themed area...

That's kind of like telling an even older generation that TV is better than a radio. Back when magazines and newspapers predicted that the television wouldn't be a success because "people wouldn't want to stare at a lighted box for hours"

If YouTube ever has a presence in any theme park, even as small as a gift shop, I'm calling it.
Where did I ever say anything about something being better? YouTube doesn't own the content you watch and I don't think you understand that.

If Disney and Google entered into a licensing agreement, what do you think that would potentially get Disney?

Why are you still here? You do realize that you can't change my opinion, don't you?

Apples and Oranges.

YouTube is not some new communication medium...it is simply a channel of communication.

YouTube is to the internet as The History Channel is to television.

What YouTube is and how it works is not a matter of opinion. What do you think Disney could get via a licensing agreement with Google? It should be a pretty simple question to answer.

Well, staying on the topic of just the YouTube facility to replace DisneyQuest... It would give Disney the rights to use the YouTube name and logo for the building, basically. So that it can officially be known as a YouTube-centered area.

After that, Disney would need to get together with various famous YouTubers to see if they want to be apart of different themed exhibits... And I'm pretty sure that not a single YouTuber out there would not take up this opportunity... As this would increase their popularity as more and more people find out who and what they are daily in Disney World. So no problems getting famous YouTubers out there to join this project and have exhibits themed to their own YouTube channels.

To answer your question, though.. The name for YouTube and the logo. Pretty much it. :)

And on top of that.. They could start selling these wonderful little google hats ^-^

What your proposing is really just moving Maker Studios and a bunch of other people to Orlando. It's already been tried twice with the Disney-MGM Studios and Universal Studios Florida. In days gone by the Disney-MGM Studios would be the place to put your idea as it would slip in right alongside film and television production. Its an idea people love on paper but haven't been able to execute in a manner that lasts. Even Universal Studios Hollywood, on the guest side, is placing more emphasis on attractions than production.

More popularity would likely terrify YouTube, which doesn't make any money. A big star is going to attract others who can still offer greater income potential, something YouTube is actively working to counter. All of the top talent building a relationship with the world's largest media conglomerate probably wouldn't be music to Sergey's ears. For right or wrong, YouTube is still widely viewed as a place to start. That could very likely change the way films being beneath theater and television beneath film both changed, but we're not yet at that point, nor has Google really figured out how YouTube plays a dominate role in that transformation.

We're still not on the same page and we won't likely ever be. Let's just agree to disagree.

You're not going to get people onboard with your ideas if you just bail on them. You're jumping right back to the "people just don't understand me" excuse.

Why do I need to get you onboard with me? An opinion is an opinion, and our opinions are just different. That is that. You can't change someone else's opinion and even if you could, why go through the struggle? You either agree or you don't. Simple as that.

No, it is not. Ideas and opinions are fluid, not static. Generating ideas is all about convincing others as well as accepting feedback and reconsidering positions as new information is presented. The struggle is evidence of conviction.

You have a comeback for everything. How about this one...

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard???

I swear. This has been bugging me for a long time now and would really like some clarification from the all-knowing expert known as lazyboy97o.

Its not a comeback. I'm sharing genuine thoughts. If you really have any interest in a creative field you will kill your chances of success by just constantly dismissing and trying to mock those who do not just faun over your every idea.

Tarzan doesn't have a beard for the same reason that most male models have a waxed chest, arms and legs. Being clean shaven is part of the idealized image of male beauty. In terms of animation, hair is something very complex (costly) to animate and more hair on Tarzan would add to the complexity of drawing the character. A contemporary live action Tarzan could very well sport a beard due to changing notions, but he'd probably still be waxed from chin to toe.

One Little Spark...
If you are still passionate about this project, I highly suggest that you, WondersOfLife, just leave this thread as is, and in a month or so comeback with all the great criticism people have given you and show off your idea/design for a YouTube themed area. Do your research and learn how not to get offended so easily. And you know what, they still may not like the idea, and that's ok. Maybe they'll just appreciate the work that went into it, and not the concept. As someone who has been burned by these forum fights in the past, I suggest not letting their criticism get to you, and just nod and agree.
You weren't burned. You instigated. Welcome back, btw.

:bored:
